What's the difference between roll forming and press braking?

While both processes shape metal, they're designed for different applications.

Roll forming is a continuous process that gradually bends metal through a series of rollers, making it ideal for producing long, consistent profiles at high volumes with exceptional precision.

Press braking uses a press and die to create individual bends one at a time. It's often the better choice for lower-volume production, prototypes or parts with simple bend requirements.

Choosing the right process depends on your part's design, production volume and performance requirements. We help customers determine the best manufacturing solution for their project from the start.
