What an incredible week!
Team NHA traveled across the country to connect, inform, and advocate for water power. Here are some of the highlights:
NHA Hosted our annual Alaska Regional Meeting in Anchorage, where attendees shared hydropower updates and ideas, and took a field trip to tour the Eklutna Hydroelectric Project.
Nearby, NHA’s President and CEO, Malcolm Woolf, attended the Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference, where he provided an audience of policymakers, investors, researchers, and many others an update about hydro’s momentum in the 49th state and across America.
In Salt Lake City, Utah, NHA’s Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Markets, Connor Nelson, headlined a panel at a workshop hosted by the Western Governor’s Association. There, he spoke about the importance of building new pumped storage hydropower to achieve the bipartisan group’s goals to get more energy on the grid in the Western U.S.
NHA’s Senior Program Manager, Kelly Rogers, attended Pacific Ocean Energy Trust’s Ocean Renewable Energy Conference in Portland, Oregon, where she moderated a panel on the national marine energy policy landscape. As an added bonus, attendees cheered on the winners of ’s Marine Energy Collegiate Competition — a team from took the top prize.
NHA is always working on behalf of our members, and you just never know where we’ll show up! If you see us, be sure to say hey 🙂
