✈️ The River View Construction crew has been hard at work on a runway project at Lakeland Airport in Minocqua.

From pulverizing and reclaiming the existing runway material to fine grading and compaction, every step is focused on building a strong, long-lasting foundation for the runway improvements ahead.

Runway pulverization is a process where the existing asphalt surface is ground up and blended with a portion of the underlying base material to create a reclaimed foundation layer. This process strengthens the runway base, improves stability, and allows much of the existing material to be reused right on site before new pavement is installed.

Lakeland Airport (ARV), also known as Noble F. Lee Memorial Field, is a public general aviation airport serving the Minocqua-Woodruff area in Vilas County, Wisconsin. Especially during the summer months, ARV serves as a busy gateway to the Northwoods for residents and visitors alike.

Not every day is blue skies and dry ground. April brings the mud, but our crew brings the work ethic.
Progress doesn’t stop.

From site prep to liner work, our team keeps pushing forward through the toughest spring conditions. It’s not always pretty, but it’s how real work gets done.

We made it to CONEXPO in Las Vegas to check out the newest equipment in the industry… and apparently ran into one of the operators we have been trying to recruit.

Not sure if Sasquatch is Local 139 yet, but he looks like he could run a haul truck or compactor with some training.

A lot of iron, a lot of walking, and a lot of great people at the show. Always good seeing what’s new in the industry and catching up with friends.

Sometimes being in environmental contracting means rolling up your sleeves and getting a little dirty or in this case, getting our trucks covered in mud. No one ever said this line of work keeps your shoes clean!

Our team is hard at work on this landfill waste relocation project, safely and efficiently moving material even in winter conditions. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s the kind of work that protects our communities and the environment.

We’re grateful for the strong partnership with our clients that makes projects like this possible. Working together, we’re able to tackle challenging sites and deliver results that matter.

Huge thanks to our crew for getting it done every day. 💪🚜❄️

🌨❄ Shoutout to Our Mechanics! ❄🌨

When the temperatures drop and the wind cuts right through you, our mechanics are still out there making sure every piece of equipment fires up and keeps moving.

These guys brave the cold, the snow, and the long days to keep our fleet running strong. Without them, none of our winter work would be possible.

🔥 Thank you to our entire mechanics team for your dedication, grit, and commitment to keeping River View moving no matter the weather.

📸 A couple of our service trucks out in the elements today, doing what they do best.

💍 42 Years of Commitment, Faith & Partnership

Please join us in congratulating our Chairman of the Board Randall Weinkauf and Vice Chair Peggy Weinkauf as they celebrate 42 years of marriage today!

A relationship built on loyalty, grit, grace, and a whole lot of heart — and the kind of example that carries through into their leadership every day. From “then” to “now,” they continue to show what it looks like to build something that lasts. ❤️

Cheers to 42 years! 🥂

Some equipment becomes outdated — and some becomes legendary.

We feel that our fleet of five Euclid R35’s are legendary. With a 35-ton payload, heavy rigid frame, and a no-nonsense drivetrain built for nonstop hauling, the R35 was engineered for raw production — not electronics and touchscreens.

Modern haul trucks have their place but in the specific environment we use them, the R35 is still the right tool for the job. They prove that when something is engineered correctly, reliability beats “new” every time.

Durability isn’t just a selling point it’s why they’re still working.

They are legendary for being hard to kill - simple to weld, rebuild, re-hose, and keep in service versus newer modern tech.

Fresh paint and fresh out of the shop! 💪🚜

This compactor is the newest addition to our landfill fleet — bringing us up to four landfill compactors in operation. That added capacity allows us to confidently take on large-scale MSW waste relocation projects for both private and public landfills across Wisconsin and beyond.

It won’t look this clean a month from now 😅 — but it’s nice to appreciate the factory-fresh moment while it lasts.

A big shoutout to our mechanics for the hard work getting it field-ready — tuning the transmission, replacing hydraulic hoses, and buttoning up the details that keep these machines running hard and running safe. 👍

Reliable equipment doesn’t happen by accident — it happens in the shop, after hours, and elbow-deep in grease.
We appreciate the team that keeps us pushing forward. 👏
