New siding, fresh paint, a custom canopy, and storefront glass are already transforming the look of this historic building. Once the doors and windows are installed, the entire facade—and the view from the street—will be completely renewed.

The halls may be quiet for summer, but work is underway at Jack Hayes Elementary. By the time students return this fall, they’ll be greeted by a brand-new bus drop-off canopy designed to keep them covered from the elements.

The challenge: A steep slope that limited usable space around the shop.

The solution: A retaining wall to hold back the grade, a covered lean-to for additional storage, and a gravel drive to tie it all together.

Now this property has significantly more functional space, improved access, and a finished look that complements the shop perfectly.

These clients originally came to us to build a guest house, but when the opportunity to purchase and renovate the home next door came up, we pivoted.

The result is a space that feels new, thanks to fresh paint & flooring, while still honoring its original character, keeping the architectural details and unique features that make it one-of-a-kind.
(But no more bathtub IN the bedroom!🤣)
