Post-occupancy assistance with commissioning & utility tracking ensure adherence to an owner’s original design intent. HEI has extensive experience in performing energy audits, energy studies, & energy upgrade projects. Current design experience includes projects abiding by the U.S. Green Building Council LEED® certification & Minnesota Sustainable Building Guidelines (MSBG-B3).

After 28 years at Hallberg Engineering, we’re saying farewell to Rick Lucio as he begins his next chapter in retirement.

Since joining Hallberg in 1998 as a mechanical engineer, Rick has played an important role in the growth of our company. Throughout his career, he took on leadership roles across Mechanical, Commissioning, and Business Development before becoming CEO and co-owner. Along the way, he built lasting relationships with clients, colleagues, partners, and organizations throughout our community.

We’re incredibly grateful for Rick’s leadership, dedication, and the lasting impact he has made on Hallberg. We wish him all the best in this next chapter!

As Hallberg moves forward, Paul Fettinger will continue serving as President while taking on the additional role of CEO. Paul has been part of Hallberg for more than 30 years and looks forward to continuing our commitment to our clients, employees, and communities.

We’re excited to see the new Lake Elmo Elementary School getting closer to welcoming students! 🏫

Hallberg Engineering is proud to provide MEP engineering services for the project alongside Wold Architects and Engineers and Kraus-Anderson.

This is just one of several projects we’re working on in the area. We’re also providing MEP services for the brand new Bayport Elementary School and work at Oak-Land Middle School.

We’re excited to see these projects come together and can’t wait to share more photos of the finished spaces this fall. More to come soon!

We were excited to have Charlie Woodcock, our 2025 White Bear Lake Scholarship recipient, join us for a day of job shadowing!

He spent the day with Mechanical Engineer Mike Bleeker, including a site visit to the Minnesota State Office Building in St. Paul, one of our current projects.

We love connecting with students and giving them opportunities to see what a career in engineering looks like firsthand.
