🏗️ Mike Waskiewicz — Senior Project Manager, Construction Management Group

Mike brings extensive commercial construction experience to MBC. An Ohio University graduate with a degree in Industrial Engineering & Technology, Mike has built a well-rounded career serving as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Superintendent, and Estimator. His background includes work across higher education, healthcare, hospitality, and warehouse/distribution projects, making him a valuable addition to our Construction Management Group.

🏗️ Mike Pierce — Project Manager, Special Projects Group

Mike brings more than 20 years of construction experience, beginning his career as a rough and finish carpenter before transitioning into project management. Throughout his career, he has built a strong foundation in both field operations and project leadership. Having studied Business Management and Technology at North Carolina State University and Kent State University, Mike's hands-on expertise and industry knowledge make him a great addition to our Special Projects Group.

In partnership with our longtime client, American Campus Communities, our Construction Management Group is making great progress on OP Lane & High, the major mixed-use student housing development in Columbus, Ohio. When complete, the 837-bed community will feature a nine-story building and a 12-story building connected by a pedestrian bridge, creating a dynamic living environment just steps from The Ohio State University campus.

Looking across the Columbus skyline and seeing the Marous Brothers Construction banner flying high above the project site is a proud moment for our entire team. It's a visible reminder that a landmark development is taking shape near Ohio State, and we're excited to help bring it to life. 🏗️💪

🏗️ Project Announcement: The Station

Our Multi-Family Housing Group is thrilled to be breaking ground on “The Station” affordable housing project in Marion, Ohio.

For the past 16 months, we have been working through preconstruction with our client, The Commonwealth Companies, one of the nation’s largest majority woman-owned affordable housing developers (active in 18 states / 10,000 units owned and managed).

The Station project will feature a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom family apartments situated in three garden-style walk-up buildings. M+A Design, Inc., also Wisconsin based, provided full architectural services and designed open-concept floor plans with Energy-Star appliances, in unit washer/dryers, ample storage space, and modern interior finishes including luxury vinyl tile flooring throughout.

The property will also feature a clubhouse building that includes a large community room, fitness center, warming kitchen, computer center, along with leasing, management and maintenance offices. Also on the property will be a playground, covered pavilion, and dog park for residents to utilize and enjoy.

Nearby amenities (all within walking distance) include Marion Harding High School, Garfield Park, OSU’s Marion campus, WalMart, Meijer and numerous other retail and restaurant options.

🏗️ Project Announcement: Baci Winery Tasting Room Renovation 🍇

Our Special Projects Group has mobilized on-site to begin the Baci Winery Tasting Room Renovation in Madison, Ohio!

Following a successful five-year run, Baci Winery is investing in the next chapter of its growth through a 4,107-square-foot renovation designed to elevate the guest experience while keeping the facility fully operational throughout construction.

The project will transform the winery's existing barrel room into a new tasting room featuring a pizza oven kitchen, expansive glass accordion doors that open directly to the outdoor patio, construction of a bar top with an exterior service window, and two new restrooms.

To support these enhancements, our crew will pour over a comprehensive scope which includes;
☑️ selective demolition
☑️ concrete & masonry
☑️ mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades.
☑️ rough & finish carpentry
☑️ glazing
☑️ painting and updated interior finishes

🏗️ We're proud to have supported the City of Cleveland's Success Fair 2026: Removing Barriers to Success, joining more than 200 employers and community organizations dedicated to connecting thousands of attendees with valuable resources, career opportunities, and pathways to a brighter future.

As one of the prime contractors helping host the Construction Zone alongside Community Career Outreach, our team was honored to engage with attendees about the many opportunities available within the construction industry. We were especially proud to have both our Compliance Manager and Safety Director on hand to share insights into career pathways and demonstrate the important role safety, diversity, and workforce development play in building successful careers.

At Marous Brothers Construction, we support events like this because we know strong communities are built by creating access to opportunity. 🏗️ Project Complete: Beechmont Country Club ⛳

We’re proud to celebrate the completion of the comprehensive renovation of Beechmont Country Club, a project that thoughtfully blends the club’s historic character with modern amenities designed to enhance the member experience for years to come. Dating back to 1923, Beechmont has long been a cornerstone of its community, and these improvements help position the club for its next century of excellence.

Delivered by our Construction Management Group in collaboration with , the $5.7 million renovation encompassed more than 72,800 square feet of interior and exterior improvements across the clubhouse and campus.

Enhancements included upgrades to the Ballroom, Main Grille / Signature Bar, Main Lobby, Kitchen, Garden Room, Fireside Lounge, Tennis Center Lobby, and Lower Level Grille, along with improvements to mechanical systems, lighting, technology, security, and other infrastructure that support daily operations. The project also included construction of a new Pro Shop that complements the club’s longstanding tradition while providing modern amenities for members and guests.

Thank you to Beechmont Country Club for trusting our team with this milestone renovation. We’re honored to have helped create a revitalized destination that will serve members for generations to come. ⛳✨

🎉 We are thrilled to announce that a new team member has joined the Marous Brothers Construction family!

Alyssa Gross — Project Engineer, Multi-Family Housing Group

Alyssa joins our team with a strong educational background and valuable industry experience. She earned both a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from Kent State University. Alyssa previously interned as a Project Manager and has also gained leadership and communication experience through roles as a summer camp counselor and daycare teacher. Her combination of technical knowledge, project experience, and people-focused skills makes her a great addition to our MFH team.

We’re excited to have her on board and can’t wait to build great things together!🚀
