We are thrilled to announce that Ted Feenstra has officially stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer. This promotion welcomes Ted to our Executive Leadership Team, where he will guide our daily operations with his proven leadership, ensuring the continued growth and strength of our firm culture and strategic goals.

Ted joined our team in 1998 as a Design Engineer. While he’s held the title of Illinois Land Development Leader for the past 18 years, his contributions extend across the firm. He previously served two terms on our board of directors and participated in the Governance, Risk, and Board Nominating committees. Most recently, he acted as the interim Ohio Regional Leader and continues to be instrumental in our firmwide growth.

Here’s something you don’t see every day!

Our team had the opportunity to document the installation of an incredible new pedestrian bridge we designed in collaboration with the City of Wheaton, Illinois.

Located along Route 38, this prefabricated steel bridge allows pedestrians to safely and continuously travel from Wheaton’s eastern border all the way to its western edge 👟

Nothing beats expanding pedestrian safety and accessibility, especially when it comes with views like these! 🌎

Congratulations to Ahmaud Carroll-Tubbs for winning a 2026 ASLA Student Award for his work on Greenlawn Cemetery Memorial Park & Garden! This project aimed to reimagine Indianapolis' first public cemetery as a memorial park and garden in order to permanently honor those whose stories have remained buried on site since the 1820s.

The American Society of Landscape Architects Awards recognize the vision and impact of landscape architects at every stage of their careers, honoring the most accomplished work of today while spotlighting the ideas shaping tomorrow.
