A little something for the homeowners out there. We make no promises about how well any of these land. What we can promise is that we are much better at keeping a house comfortable than we are at any of this. Sound on.

This is one of those spots most folks never look. Up near the garage ceiling, tucked above the door.

That's where this air handler went in, set on a steel rack and bolted up out of the way, ducts run into the wall, lines dropped down clean. Working overhead in a hot garage is its own kind of job, but that's where the unit had to live, so that's where we made it right.

You'll spend the next stretch of summers never giving it a second look. That's the whole idea.

If the unit in your garage or attic is getting up there and acting tired, we'll come take a look. A real person picks up. 352-807-6125

Nobody wants a surprise on their power bill. Here are the most common reasons homeowners around here end up paying more to cool their home than they need to, and most of them are simpler to fix than you'd think.

1. A Dirty or Clogged filter. Restricted airflow makes the whole system work hard harder just to move air through your home.

2. Leaky Ductwork. Cold air escaping before it reaches your rooms means you’re paying to cool air that never makes it inside.

3. Poor Attic Insulation. Heat pouring in From above means your system is fighting battle. It doesn’t have to.

4. A Thermostat that Isn’t set up for Florida Humidity. The wrong settings can leave a system running longer than it needs to just to feel comfortable.

5. An Aging System. Older equipment can still run, but it often takes more energy to do the same job it used to.

Here's one we wrapped up recently, sitting right where the old one used to run.

A new condenser is the part of the system you actually walk past, out by the patio or along the side of the house. Lines connected and sealed, set level and clear so the air moves the way it should.

The goal with the outdoor unit is simple. You stop noticing it. It runs quiet in the background while you're out back, and the house stays comfortable without anybody thinking about why.

If yours is rattling, rusting, or just running more than it used to, we'll come out and tell you what's actually going on. A real person picks up. 352-807-6125

Your AC has capacitors doing quiet, important work, kicking the compressor and fan motor on every time your system starts. When one goes bad, your system usually lets you know.

A hard start, a humming sound with no air moving, the outdoor unit clicking and not kicking on, or it shutting off on its own not long after starting. Sometimes you can even see it: a capacitor that's swollen or bulging on top has had it.

Capacitors hold a charge even after the power's off, so we don't recommend testing or handling one yourself. If your system's acting up, give us a call at 352-807-6125 and we'll come take a look.

Every sound your AC makes means something. Clicking is usually just the system turning on or off, though a steady repeated click while it's running is worth a look.

Squealing Often points to the motor hub or motor bearings being worn down and needs attention.
Buzzing can mean loose parts or an electrical issue.
Rattling might just be a loose panel, or something working itself loose inside.
Hissing is the one we'd want to check first.

Just a friendly check in. If you can't remember the last time you looked at your air filter, this is your sign. Florida summers put filters through it.

Some of our favorite moments on the job aren't about the AC at all. A water bottle left out on a hot afternoon. A note on the door about the dog. Small things, but they stick with us.
