📰 Solar Basic Training on Epi Island
The National Green Energy Fund (NGEF) team has successfully conducted a 3‑day Solar Basic Training at Vermali Area Council, ROVO Bay on Epi Island, bringing together 16 NGEF beneficiaries.
The training focused on essential topics including solar system start‑up and shutdown procedures, solar components and standards, solar load management, and loan repayment responsibilities.
Participants represented schools, area councils, cooperatives, and health centres, all actively engaged throughout the training.
👉 Day 1 & 2: Classroom-based theory sessions
👉 Day 3: Practical site visits to Bonkovio School and Tewetonga
Cooperative, where PCS technicians demonstrated how to correctly start up and shut down solar systems.
This training aims to strengthen the understanding of solar systems and promote proper operation and maintenance, ensuring long-term performance and sustainability for beneficiary communities. 🌞⚡
