Here at Silo N Sons, we try our best to focusing on skills development and skills transfers to our local people.
1 of our projects, has started 23rd October 2025, where we have employed locals, to learn, how to assemble/construct Eskom towers up to 42 meters long.
The process has been sometimes tiring, and had its financial impacts on the production losses, but we have seen the willingness of our local people, and thus they have starting to master their assembly skills.
Building these towers ain't just about assembly, you should understand/learn the engineering drawings.
Sometimes there are skills in our communities, opportunities sometimes lacks to nurture local skills.
Again, we allowed our junior supervisor, Danford to lead the team. And also learn.
