🍷Kanonkop has made some of South Africa’s most celebrated reds for decades. Now their cellar runs on the sun.
We’ve just commissioned a 148.59 kWp expansion at the Stellenbosch estate: 234 Longi 635W panels feeding a Sungrow 125kW grid-tied inverter, integrated cleanly with the solar and battery storage they already had on site.
We also handled the generator integration and set up the battery for energy arbitrage, charging it when power is cheap and drawing on it when grid rates peak, so every kilowatt works as hard as it can.
The result is lower electricity costs every month, and stable power through harvest, when cold rooms and processing equipment cannot afford to skip a beat.
They also signed onto our Operations and Maintenance plan, so the system stays monitored live and serviced year round. No guesswork. Just power that performs.
