The WA mining industry didn’t arrive at today’s safety standards by chance. They were built through hard lessons, real loss, and a moment in the mid-90s when the industry was forced to change. The introduction of the 1995 mining safety regulations, marked a turning point. It acknowledged that the cost of progress had been far too high.
At Westfill, that history matters.
Safety isn’t a box to tick or a message to repeat. It’s embedded in how we design, plan and deliver work underground. From the experience our teams bring, to the systems, training and standards we uphold on every site, safety and service excellence go hand in hand.
Established by industry professionals with decades of underground experience, Westfill has grown from strength to strength by staying grounded in what matters most, our people, their families, and the responsibility we carry every time a crew goes to work.
As part of the Westfill Group, we continue to support mining operations with practical, end-to-end solutions built on real operational knowledge, not theory.
We carry the reminder forward, not to dwell on the past, but to ensure we never repeat it.
