Helping airports get ready for the future ✈️🏗️

Our Director of Aviation Consulting and Advisory, Gareth Coe, has been busy sharing his knowledge with the aviation community over the past few weeks.

At the AAA Minerals and Resources Forum in Perth and the AAA NSW/ACT Regional Meeting in Newcastle, Gareth spoke about Operational Readiness (ORAT). He explained how airports can prepare for new terminals and major changes so everything runs smoothly from day one.

On a panel with leaders from Newcastle Airport and Western Sydney International Airport, he shared how planning, teamwork and practice help airports deliver better experiences for passengers and staff.

Next, Gareth will present at the AAA Emergency and Safety Forum in Melbourne, co-host a Masterclass at the NZ Airports Association Hui, and attend the AAA National Conference on the Gold Coast.

Great to be onsite at Newcastle Airport supporting the coordination of their Mass Passenger Exercise earlier this month. 🛫

The exercise was a key milestone in the testing phase of the Operational Readiness and Transition (ORAT) program being delivered by Southpac ahead of the new International Terminal opening.

From identifying bottlenecks to testing equipment and accessibility routes, the Mass Passenger Exercise is such an important step in the process for any significant infrastructure project – allowing for final improvements to ensure both safety and efficiency when the terminal commences operations.
