🔋 Battery Rebate Update

The Cheaper Home Battery Program rebate is changing from May 2026. The rebate isn’t ending, but the amount available per kilowatt-hour will reduce, particularly for larger battery systems.

What this means for homeowners:
✅ The rebate will still exist after May - we won’t lose it completely
❌ The rebate will taper based on battery size, and therefore larger batteries will be more affected
🔆 Installing earlier may allow you to secure a higher rebate level, especially if you are planning a larger system.

If you’re considering a battery, now is a good time to understand your options and plan ahead.

The Cheaper Home Batteries Program starts TOMORROW JULY 1ST!!💰💰
The name states it all - it is a government rebate for the purchase and installation of batteries for homes and small businesses. The discount is based on the usable capacity of the batteries.
HOWEVER, something you may not be aware of, is that the subsidy amount will reduce each year (much like the solar rebate) until its final year 2030.
