⚡ When the power goes out, does your home have to?

After that lightning storm in Nowra today, we headed to Bunnings only to find the power was out and they’d shut up shop. ⛈️

A timely reminder of just how much we rely on electricity!

With the right solar and battery setup, your home can switch to backup power during a blackout, keeping the essentials running even when the grid goes down. 🔋

💡 Keep the lights on
❄️ Keep the fridge running
📱 Stay connected

Not all batteries offer blackout protection, so choosing the right system matters!

At Eternal Energy, we design and install solar and battery systems with backup options tailored to your home.

📩 Don’t wait for the next blackout — get in touch to find out your options!

A great night of learning, networking and talking all things solar! ☀️⚡️

A big thank you to Pat, Jo and the team at Southwell Solar Training for putting on such a fantastic Installer Night last week. Kris and Todd headed along and came away with plenty of great discussions, industry insights and knowledge to bring back to the team.

We’re incredibly lucky to have passionate people like Pat and Jo in our industry who are committed to supporting installers, sharing their knowledge and helping raise the standard across the industry. 👏

And a special shoutout to our apprentice Todd, who was the lucky winner of a 12-month subscription to Southwell Solar Training! 🎉 Safe to say it landed in very good hands — we love seeing our apprentices getting involved, continuing to learn and building their knowledge early in their careers.

Thanks again Pat & Jo for a brilliant night — and congrats Todd! ☀️🔋⚡️

💧 Big news from Eternal Energy!

We’re now offering heat pump hot water system installations in partnership with a trusted local plumber.

Your hot water system is often one of the biggest energy users in your home, but a heat pump can use up to 70–80% less electricity than a traditional electric hot water system.

Instead of generating heat directly, heat pumps draw warmth from the surrounding air, making them a highly efficient way to heat your water.

✅ Lower power bills
✅ Uses up to 70–80% less electricity
✅ Works brilliantly with solar
✅ Can reduce or eliminate controlled load usage
✅ Helps you use more of your own solar power during the day

For many homes, moving away from a controlled load means your hot water can run using excess solar energy rather than relying on off-peak grid electricity.

If you’re looking to cut your energy costs, a heat pump is one of the smartest upgrades you can make alongside solar and battery storage.

Get in touch with the team at Eternal Energy to find out if a heat pump is right for your home. ⚡💧

🔋 Finishing touches on another battery install

One of our apprentices putting the final touches on a clean battery stack and helping deliver quality installs for our customers.

With battery technology improving and the Cheaper Home Battery Program rebate changing from May, we’re seeing more homeowners look at storage to make the most of their solar and reduce reliance on the grid.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a battery, it’s a good time to start exploring your options.

🔋 Battery Rebate Update

The Cheaper Home Battery Program rebate is changing from May 2026. The rebate isn’t ending, but the amount available per kilowatt-hour will reduce, particularly for larger battery systems.

What this means for homeowners:
✅ The rebate will still exist after May - we won’t lose it completely
❌ The rebate will taper based on battery size, and therefore larger batteries will be more affected
🔆 Installing earlier may allow you to secure a higher rebate level, especially if you are planning a larger system.

If you’re considering a battery, now is a good time to understand your options and plan ahead.
