The Waypoint has officially made its move.

Completed at Caves Road HQ before being transported to its new home in Karridale, this stage is always an exciting part of the modular process – seeing months of work leave the workshop and arrive on site.

Transport and installation are carefully planned from the outset, allowing much of the build to take place in a controlled environment before the home makes its journey to its final location.

Wildflower Lane 🌺

Recently completed and handed over, this one-bedroom ancillary dwelling sits on a semi-rural property in Margaret River, close to the beautiful Prevelly Beach.

Designed as the first stage of the property, with a larger main dwelling planned for the future, its smaller footprint certainly didn’t mean compromising on the details. The home has been finished to a high standard, with the same level of consideration and craftsmanship we bring to our larger builds.

With the client based overseas throughout construction and their interior designer working from Melbourne, the project was also a true collaboration across locations – bringing the design, build and finer details together here in the South West.

A small home with plenty of character, and just the beginning for Wildflower Lane.

The Old Cheese Factory started life as a commercial dairy and cheese factory before being transformed by Caves Road Constructions into the home and holiday accommodation you see today.

Working alongside Ambient Building Design, the project was a substantial adaptive reuse rather than a straightforward renovation – retaining as much of the building’s original character as possible while completely reworking it for its new life.

One of our favourite parts of the project is the original jarrah. Existing trusses, ceiling timbers and cladding were carefully salvaged during demolition, with the restored exposed trusses becoming a major feature of the finished home and other timbers repurposed into custom details throughout.

The project went on to receive multiple industry awards, including Excellence in Carpentry – recognition that makes this one particularly special to revisit.

A proud moment for the Caves Road Constructions team.

On Friday night, WAM Shack was awarded Contract Home $2 Million to $4 Million at the Master Builders Western Australia 2026 Building Excellence Awards.

Located on Quininup Road in Yallingup, WAM Shack is a project full of character and considered detail - and one we’re incredibly proud to have brought to life.

A brilliant recognition of the craftsmanship, care and collaboration that went into this home. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making it happen.
