MEET THE TEAM | NAYANA
Next up in our CMG team spotlight series, we’re introducing Nayana, one of our Project Engineers helping keep projects moving across the business.
Working across the technical and delivery side of our projects, Nayana supports everything from planning and QA through to coordinating works on site and tackling the day-to-day challenges that come with civil construction.
We caught up with Nayana to learn a little more about her role, her experience in the industry and what she enjoys most about life on site with CMG.

BACKING LOCAL FOOTY | 2026 SEASON WRAP-UP 🏆
What a way to wrap up the 2026 footy season!
A huge congratulations to the Emerald Tigers Women’s team on taking out the 2026 Premiership! An incredible achievement and a fitting reward for a fantastic season. CMG is proud to have backed the Tigers this year and even prouder to see the women finish the season on top. 🏆🐯
We’re also proud to have supported the Dysart Bulls throughout 2026. Congratulations to the players, coaches and everyone involved on a great season and for continuing to represent the Dysart community both on and off the field.
For CMG, sponsorship is about more than having our logo on a jersey or around the grounds. It’s about backing the clubs, volunteers, players and families who put in the work each week and make regional communities great places to live and work.

PROJECT AWARD | Pajingo Mine – Site Access Road
The CMG crews are heading to another site, with the award of works on the Pajingo Mine Site Access Road.
The project will see CMG undertake access road improvement works, bringing our road construction and pavement capability into another operational mining environment.
Our team is looking forward to mobilising and getting the gear on the ground, with a strong focus on safe delivery, quality workmanship and keeping site access moving throughout the works.
Another great addition to the program and another opportunity for our crews to do what they do best.

National Safe Work Month 2026 | Safe work is for life
This October, CMG is proud to support National Safe Work Month and this year’s theme: Safe work is for life.
For us, safety isn’t just about getting through today without an incident. It’s about protecting the long-term health and wellbeing of our people and making sure everyone gets home safely to the people and things that matter most.
Across our projects, workshops and offices, safety starts with planning the job properly, understanding the risks, speaking up when something doesn’t look right, and looking out for the people working alongside us.
From Take 5s and pre-starts to critical controls, safe plant interactions and visible leadership in the field, it’s the everyday decisions that build a strong safety culture.
This month is a good reminder that safety doesn’t start and finish with October.
Work safe today. Stay safe for life.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This October, CMG is proud to recognise Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the women, families, friends and communities impacted by breast cancer.
With women continuing to build a stronger presence across construction, mining and engineering, it’s an important reminder to look out for the women in our workplaces and in our lives.
Awareness and early detection matter. Take the time to know the signs, keep up with recommended screening, and encourage the people around you to do the same.
To those currently undergoing treatment, those supporting someone through it, and those remembering someone they’ve lost — we stand with you. 💗
A conversation, a reminder or a little support can go a long way.

PROJECT AWARD | Copperfield Dam Access Road Reconstruction
Another one for the CMG team!
We’re pleased to announce the award of the Copperfield Dam Access Road Reconstruction, adding another access and pavement reconstruction project to our delivery program.
The works will see our crews undertaking reconstruction and improvement works to the existing access road, drawing on CMG’s experience in pavement rehabilitation, earthworks and civil construction within operational environments.
With our people, plant and capability ready to go, we’re looking forward to getting on the ground and delivering another quality outcome.
Another project that fits well with what we do best — Built for Remote.

PROJECT AWARD | BURNETT HIGHWAY STABILISATION
Another stretch of Queensland road network is heading onto the CMG program!
Cooper McCullough Group is pleased to have been awarded the Burnett Highway Stabilisation Project, delivering pavement stabilisation works for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).
With stabilisation forming a core part of CMG’s self-perform capability, this project is a great fit for our crews, plant and growing road infrastructure portfolio. Our team will bring extensive experience in pavement rehabilitation and stabilisation to deliver a quality outcome on this important regional route.
We’re proud to continue building our relationship with TMR and contributing to safer, stronger and more resilient roads across regional Queensland.
The new Wirtgen is coming in hot and the stabo crew will be doing what they do best!

PROUDLY SUPPORTING THE DYSART GUN CLUB
CMG was proud to once again support the Dysart Gun Club Annual Shoot, held on 1 & 2 August.
With our team spending plenty of time working in and around Dysart, supporting the clubs and events that bring the local community together is something we’re always proud to get behind.
It was a great weekend of competition, friendly rivalry and plenty of banter, with another fantastic turnout for the annual event.
A big congratulations to everyone who competed, and an even bigger thank you to the volunteers and organisers who put in the work behind the scenes to make the weekend such a success.
CMG was proud to play a small part in supporting another great event in a community that continues to be an important part of our story.
