AES Equipment Solutions (AES) hosted a Toolbox Talk about men’s health yesterday at our Hazelmere workshop, with Members of the Parliament, Tania Lawrence MP (Hasluck, WA) and Dan Repacholi MP (Hunter, NSW), sharing valuable insights.
Tania said, “For the very first time, a Special Envoy for Men’s Health has been appointed and that’s Dan.”
Dan began by sharing his background as a skilled worker, connecting with the audience, and spoke about his time as an Olympian before entering politics, explaining how these experiences shape his advocacy for men’s health.
Dan expressed, “To the men in workshops like this, and to the ladies who are here, your fathers, brothers, or partners, we often struggle to talk about our feelings and to visit the doctor.” He encouraged everyone to get checked and treated, adding, ‘We service our cars, trucks, and equipment. We need to service ourselves, too.”
Promoting awareness of men’s health in an open, relatable, and inclusive way is important, and AES recognises how it contributes to maintaining a safe and productive workforce.
