Labourer / Trades Assistant (Casual, potential for full-time)
Location: 1 hour north of Kalgoorlie, WA
About us: Privately owned gold mine focused on safe, efficient operations and practical, skilled teams. We’re recruiting a reliable Labourer / Trades Assistant.
Role overview: Casual trades assistant. Provide general construction and maintenance support on-site and assist mechanics with equipment repairs.
Key responsibilities:
• Assist tradespeople with general construction, repairs and site maintenance
• Support mechanics with equipment servicing, and parts handling
• Maintain clean and safe work areas;
• Complete workplace documentation and report hazards or defects
Requirements (must-have):
• Physically fit, reliable and able to work outdoors in remote site conditions
• Valid Australian driver’s licence
• Must have at least permanent rights to work in Australia
• Basic use of hand tools; willingness to learn trade skills and power tool use
• Strong teamwork, communication and ability to take direction,
• Willingness to work independently and use initiative
Desirable:
• Previous experience on mining or construction sites
• Trade assistant or mechanical support experience
