Brad and Kylie from our Edgeworth site recently met with Christine from Transformational Institute - RTO 31269 🤝

The meeting focused on creating pathways for our Inclusive Employment Australia participants, exploring how Transformational Institute's courses can help accelerate them into their chosen fields.

Connecting our participants with the right opportunities and partners is at the heart of what we do, and conversations like this help make that possible💛

A big shoutout to The Dirty Gardener for their ongoing support and kindness in taking some of our Academy Prep participants under their wing! 🌱

Through this experience, participants have been developing valuable workplace skills in gardening and general maintenance, including grounds maintenance, potting and planting, w**d management, and the safe use of everyday tools and equipment.

It has been wonderful to see their confidence and practical skills continue to grow in such a supportive environment.

Thank you to the team at The Dirty Gardener for creating meaningful opportunities for our young people and helping them build skills for the future. 💛

Last week, members of our Transition to Work and Parent Pathways leadership teams had the opportunity to attend a Referrer Experience with Dress for Success NSW & ACT in Broadmeadow.

The session provided valuable insight into the incredible support available to women in our community, including personalised styling appointments, confidence building workshops, interview preparation, and employment readiness support.

Experiencing the service firsthand has strengthened our ability to connect participants with opportunities that can boost confidence, improve presentation skills, and support successful transitions into education and employment.

Thank you to the Dress for Success team for their warm welcome and for showcasing the life changing impact of their services.

We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting more women to achieve their goals and realise their full potential.

Our Home and Living Pathways participants recently spent a joyful day in the kitchen, turning a simple cooking activity into a memorable experience 🍳

Everyone came together, each person contributing in their own way to create a delicious quiche. From chopping ingredients and mixing fillings to carefully assembling everything, the process was filled with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of light-hearted moments.

By the time the quiche came out of the oven it was golden and fragrant!

Both the food and the shared experience was extremely rewarding, with plenty of laughter and fun along the way 💛

Our Chief Participant Officer, Jenny Cappellacci, and Senior Manager Employment Programs, Racheal Blaxell, had the opportunity to sit down with representatives from the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) for a meaningful conversation about how we continue to grow and evolve as a Transition to Work provider 🤝

We discussed what is working well in our Transition to Work program, where we can improve, and how place-based servicing and strong community connections can better support the young people we work with every day.

Conversations like this are an important part of how we continue to show up for young people across the Hunter region and ensure our services are making a real difference.
