Show Technology are the leading professional distributors of lighting and AV solutions for commercial, entertainment and architectural projects across Australia and New Zealand. Established in the early 1990s, they have delivered high quality products and exceptional customer service for over 30 years, offering design, technical support and training.

Their products serve a diverse range of applications including concerts, theatres, television studios, nightclubs, convention centres, houses of worship and public spaces. Headquartered in Silverwater, Sydney, with branches in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland, their offices feature fully equipped showrooms and training facilities.

These spaces are vast to cater for their equipment and scale of work. Macwood Group were engaged to build a new state of the art showroom at their Melbourne branch. This was to meet global standards to suit local and international clients, while enabling a more functional workspace and updating the aesthetic. An epic 20m long x 6m high wall was constructed to divide the existing space, creating a backdrop for their new showroom. The addition of a fully steel staircase will create additional access to their first floor. With further works in progress, more pics to come..

Carey Grammar Administation Building

In late 2025, Macwood completed works to the Administration Building for Carey Baptist Grammar School in Melbourne's East.

Their existing spaces nolonger fit the needs of the organisation so we set about designing a more optimal work environment. After a new layout was comfirmed, we performed minor demolition works then built new plaster & glazed partition walls, doors, bulkheads and relocated services. Bespoke joinery items were manufactured to ulilise the space including desks, drawers, cabinets and storage units. Furniture and made to measure items were designed and installed to enable optimal form and function of the space.

For this project in the education sector, we worked to design and build better workspaces for a more productive work environment

Gift Shop:
Mayflower Brighton Aged Care

This recently completed projest in Melbourne's inner east features some of Macwood's finest craftmanship. Tailored to the client's needs for presentation and storage of their sale items, we completed works to floors, walls, ceilings, joinery, bespoke items and exterior works. Their newly renovated gift shop creates a beautiful first impression matching the style and aesthetic of the site and surrounding features. The Mayflower Group

Pioneer Skin Doctors: Grovedale VIC

The founders of this specialist skin clinic employed Macwood Group to transform an existing physiotherapy clinic premises into their newest branch to house their newest state of the art equipment. These images show completed works to the floors, walls, ceilings and joinery with the preceeding existing and progess shots. In stark contrast, the finished site features modern, clean lines, bold statement finishes and calming tones. It presents this highly regarded clinic in the best possible light, reflecting thier brand and mission.

Prodigal Bakery

This former cafe became the new home for Melbourne's freshest small-batch artisan Micro Bakery. This space was entirely reimagined with works to floors, walls, windows, joinery, ceilings and services. We worked closely with the client and designer to facilitate the many facets of baking and presentation of their goods.

Ensuring the back of house zone accomodate all equipment for their full production kitchen, we helped to create the most functional and productive space. A modern aesthetic front of house was acheived with bespoke tiling, woodgrain paneling and warm lighting. The standout display case draws focus to the products with inviting indoor seating nearby.

Standing strongly behind our work, we are proud to support local business, helping these local artisans create a new favorite in Melbourne's east.

Beauty_Bar

Introducing Beauty_Bar. Macwood Group's boldest build yet. Located in High Street Armadale, a hub of style and fashion in Melbourne's east.
Now unrecognisable from its predecessor, our team gave this space an extreme makeover from head to toe. With groundbreaking works to floors, walls, ceilings, services, joinery & signage, this is a fit-out like no other. We worked closely with our client and design team to make thier vision a very pink reality.

This most unique project could not have been possible without the skill and craftsmanship of and our excellent team of trades.

Austunnel

Location: Burwood, VIC
Site: Office/ Warehouse

Austunnel employed Macwood Group to upgrade their facilities in Melbourne's east. This 2 level project will improve the site's functionality and help increase productivity, bringing more elements of the business together. With works in progress, the finished project will include 2 new offices, a large meeting room, 2 kitchenettes, bathrooms and storage facilities. Breaking through the exisiting first floor wall to link the workspaces, they will attain fluid access from current to new facilities. More shots to come on completion..

Australian Red Cross Melbourne

Location: Docklands, VIC
Completed: 2025.03
Site: Interior Office fit-out

This newly constructed building on Flinders Street Melbourne is now the site of the Australian Red Cross National Headquarters. Covering several floors, Macwood Group completed works to the full interior, creating offices, open workspaces, meeting rooms, breakout spaces, kitchens and bathroom facilities. This included works from flooring, walls, doors & windows to ceilings, light fittings, air conditioning, emergency services and furnishings. Fullfilling the breif, this flagship location is a sophisticated, modern hub, a beautiful work environment.

Brunswick Darkroom

Previously an open-plan real estate office, we were employed to create a modern yet traditional photo processing darkroom. As practised in their Fitzroy location, Brunswick Darkroom was to use the RA-4 process of colour printing, a traditional method brought to market in the mid-1940's.

The open space was divided to create a front of house area and fully light-sealed darkroom with conventional door access alongside more sight-specific access. The second entry being a specialised revolving door to allow zero light infiltration. Works to the site included: installation of full-height parttion walls, non-slip flooring, conventional and red lights with additional power and plumbing outlets. A bespoke concrete proccessing bath was cast off-site and installed with millimetre precision on 6 concrete posts incorporation a storage shelf. One of our more unique projects, the site now helps to continue this age-old practice.
