Conituing our work with Mayflower Brighton Aged Care, we collaborated with their team to create 2 new breakout areas within their facility in Melbourne’s South East. These library nooks were reimagined to create beautiful new spaces with deep tones and lush furnishings giving a sense of focus and tranquility.

We finalised the layout by creating skematic drawings, presenting plans, elevations and renders to the client then went to work altering the site’s existing services and building custom joinery to fit. Though relatively discrete, these works have demonstrated the evolution of this facility, shaping the environment around the needs of the community it houses.

Greenways Retirement Village

Macwood Group has worked extensively in the aged care sector. We understand the vital role these spaces play in the safety, comfort and well-being of our aging communities

Our team of designers, builders, trades and management team worked closely with Greenways Retirement Village to deliver a complete transformation to their facility in Melbourne’s outer east. This 2-phase project involved works to the communal and residential spaces, spanning close to 1000m2 with refurbishments to more than 10 areas including; the main hall multipurpose room, library, kitchens, laundry, bathrooms, lounge, gym, offices, reception, kiosks, medical centre, salon and restaurant.

This bright, modern reburbishment was thoughtfully designed to be an elegant haven for the residents, fostering dignity, connection and community.

Digital design

Some project designs are better conveyed through 3D visiualisation. Many of our clients request a digital representation of their proposed works to better visualise the outcome.

Our design team work closely with clients to deliver a visual indication of their finished project. At this stage, proportion can be further examined as we place new structures up against real obejects. Acurate material finishes are imported into the project showing a more realistic result under various lighting states. Here, light and shadow casting from interior and natural light sources show surfaces at various times of day.

These rendered images can help win tenders and get projects across the line. Visual design can be highly subjective and for many of our clients, seeing is believing.

Their products serve a diverse range of applications including concerts, theatres, television studios, nightclubs, convention centres, houses of worship and public spaces. Headquartered in Silverwater, Sydney, with branches in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland, their offices feature fully equipped showrooms and training facilities.

These spaces are vast to cater for their equipment and scale of work. Macwood Group were engaged to build a new state of the art showroom at their Melbourne branch. This was to meet global standards to suit local and international clients, while enabling a more functional workspace and updating the aesthetic. An epic 20m long x 6m high wall was constructed to divide the existing space, creating a backdrop for their new showroom. The addition of a fully steel staircase will create additional access to their first floor. With further works in progress, more pics to come..
