Our recent works at the M5 Westbound Upgrade for Seymour Whyte.

The challenge: Capture the conditions and surface levels beneath the existing infrastructure, where tight access constraints have ruled out conventional survey methods, and turn it around fast enough to drive design decisions.

Add the Georges River right alongside, and working safely at the water's edge becomes as important as the data itself.

Our solution was to work entirely from the pedestrian paths along the riverbank:

Our Emesent UAV-mounted LiDAR to capture data that traditional survey techniques simply could not achieve.

Mobile SLAM scanning above and below the boardwalk for ground-levels and detail

Video capture of the existing conditions to sit alongside the spatial data
All tied to the site control and processed into one verifiable point cloud.

A quality outcome for Transport for NSW and Seymour Whyte, allowing us to bring our innovative construction solutions and backing a smarter, safer way to get the job done.
