Site Manager - Base Build & Fit Out, Retail Fit Out Project in Newton, SA.
This well regarded commercial building contractor has an immediate requirement for a Site Manager to help deliver a several fit out projects within one shopping center in Newton.
Starting immediately, you will have full responsibility for running and delivering this project from inception through to completion, which is scheduled May 2021.
PM on site for half the week, CA based in Sydney. Great leadership in the business. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage construction activities on the projects.
On a day to day basis you will perform the following duties;
- Reading and interpretation of plans and drawings
- Management and co-ordination of sub contractors, suppliers, and materials deliveries.
- 2 weekly programs
- Drive the program and subcontractors
- Managing all on-site OHS and compliance
- Have a good idea of budgeting and costing jobs
- Will be working on a Design & Construct contract
To be suitable for this position, it is expected candidates will possess the following;
- Will have been ‘number 1’ Site Manager
on high value fit out/refurbishment/base build projects in commercial developments to $2M
- Will have worked in live environments
- Will ideally have experience of working on similar projects
- Will have worked for well regarded contractors in Australia
- Strong skills around budgeting and cost control
- Experience working on projects with tight access
- Fluent in services and interior trades
- Strong communication with all parties
- Experience working on Design and Construct projects is essential and a ‘forward-thinker’
