The best handovers are the short ones.
Recently, the SITECH WA team headed down to Albany for an onsite handover with Phoenix Civil and Earthmoving, commissioning Trimble Earthworks on a Volvo EC500 50 tonne excavator.
Special mention to Will, the operator in the cab. Will already knows Earthworks inside out, and he is more than capable of loading designs and connecting to the base station himself as more Trimble machines arrive on site. That is exactly what you want to see. It makes the crew self sufficient, which counts for a lot when you are four and a half hours from Perth.
Phoenix has been working with SITECH WA for years, and the team are long standing believers in what Trimble Earthworks does for them:
- Design in the cab, so operators dig to grade without waiting on pegs
- Fewer survey call outs and less rework
- Faster cycles and less material overrun
