Introducing Noir — a facade defined by contrast, balance and architectural intent.

Composed as two distinct horizontal forms, Noir pairs a grounded rendered base with an elevated aluminium volume above — creating a clear, structured and highly considered architectural expression.

Clean lines and precise detailing allow proportion to lead, while a restrained material palette reinforces a sense of calm and permanence.

Designed exclusively for the Inez 29, Noir responds to the constraints of narrow inner-city sites — proving that thoughtful design can elevate even the most compact conditions.

Project Alston | Materials that shape the feeling of home

One of the quiet strengths of Project Alston lies in its material palette.

Rather than relying on contrast or visual complexity, the home is shaped through a small collection of carefully selected materials — warm oak joinery, softly veined natural stone, bronze tapware, pale brick and gentle linen textures.

Together, they create an atmosphere that feels calm, warm and grounded.

These moments of detail appear throughout the home: the way light falls across the timber staircase, the texture of brickwork at the entry, or the soft reflections through fluted glass screens in the bathroom.

Each element is simple on its own, but when brought together they create a home that feels balanced, refined and quietly timeless.

Introducing Ochre facade — a contemporary interpretation of modernism, refined to its purest expression.

Defined by clean, essential forms, Ochre is shaped by clarity, proportion and restraint. Structured volumes are composed with precision, while layered materials and tonal contrast create depth without visual weight.

Fine detailing and exact alignment allow each element to read with sharpness and intent, resulting in a facade that feels calm, controlled and architecturally resolved.

Part of the Elevated Collection, Ochre reflects our approach to pre-designed homes — where architectural thinking, materiality and buildability are embedded from the outset.

Available across a selection of Elevated Collection designs, including Arlo 32, Luca 32, Azul 36 & 38, and Olie 32.

Project Alston | A kitchen designed for everyday living

At the centre of Project Alston sits a kitchen designed to feel both beautiful and effortless to live with.

From the sculptural stone island to the warm timber joinery, the space brings together natural materials, soft lighting and thoughtful detailing to create a calm and welcoming environment for daily life.

During the design process, our team worked closely with DKO Architecture to refine the original concept — ensuring the kitchen retained its architectural integrity while remaining practical and efficient to build. Subtle adjustments to joinery, layout and material selections allowed the design to remain elegant and highly functional without unnecessary complexity.

The result is a kitchen that feels timeless and grounded — a place where cooking, gathering and conversation naturally come together.

Project Alston | Living spaces designed for everyday calm

At the heart of Project Alston is a living space designed to feel warm, relaxed and quietly connected to daily life.

Rather than relying on bold architectural gestures, the design focuses on balance — where natural materials, soft textures and filtered daylight shape the atmosphere of the room.

A long wall of oak joinery anchors the space, concealing storage while framing a linear fireplace that adds warmth throughout the cooler months. Beneath it, the textured brick hearth introduces a subtle rhythm that runs the length of the room.

Large sliding openings extend the living space out to the courtyard beyond, allowing the home to open up when entertaining or retreat into a calm, cosy environment when closed.

It’s a space designed for real life — slow mornings, evenings by the fire and quiet moments shared with family.

Luxury lives in the details.

From the tactile precision of a Clipsal Iconic switch to the warm illumination of custom joinery, electrical design plays a quiet but essential role in shaping how a home is experienced.

Integrated lighting transforms cabinetry into a feature, revealing texture, materiality and atmosphere within the space.

A subtle reminder that great architecture is not only about form — but how a home responds to the rhythms of everyday life.

Project Alston | A contemporary home within a heritage streetscape

Set within the historic streets of Williamstown, Project Alston began with a simple but important question:

How can a contemporary home feel naturally part of its neighbourhood?

Rather than competing with the surrounding architecture, the design takes a quieter approach. The facade sits comfortably within the streetscape, with proportions, brickwork and subtle detailing doing most of the work.

Soft-toned masonry, weatherboard-inspired cladding and a sculptural chimney reference the character of the surrounding homes, while clean lines and refined forms bring a contemporary clarity to the design.

Behind this calm street presence sits a warm family home — one that gradually opens from the street to light-filled living spaces and a private garden beyond.

Through the collaboration between Arli Homes, DKO Architecture and lead designer Ian Browne, Project Alston demonstrates how thoughtful design can respectfully respond to heritage surroundings while still feeling distinctly modern.

In Williamstown, rooflines tell the story of the neighbourhood.

For Project Alston, the design began by looking closely at that streetscape — rows of homes defined by traditional corrugated metal roofs.

Rather than replicate the past, the architecture reinterprets it.

A pitched roof formed in COLORBOND® steel in Dune becomes the defining gesture of the home, referencing the character of the area while establishing a distinctly contemporary architectural language.

Below it, a grounded masonry base anchors the building, while a lighter upper level appears to hover above — allowing northern light and garden views to shape the living spaces.

Project Alston | Williamstown

We’re excited to share Project Alston — a custom home designed and built by Arli Homes in collaboration with DKO Architecture and lead designer Ian Browne.

Set within the heritage-lined streets of Williamstown, this home was designed to feel calm, welcoming and deeply connected to everyday living. From the street, the facade sits quietly within its historic surroundings — but step inside and the home opens into light-filled spaces designed for family life.

Natural light moves through the home throughout the day, while a palette of stone, oak and warm neutral tones creates a sense of softness and balance. Every space was carefully considered to feel both practical and beautifully resolved.

The result is a home that feels timeless, grounded and perfectly suited to the way our clients live.
