If you were looking at a large 40kWh+ home battery, the Federal Government rebate has been reduced at that size, so the savings aren’t as strong as they used to be.

The good news is most homes don’t actually need a battery that big. Around 20kWh is usually enough to cover moderate overnight usage and bring your Ergon bill right down. When it’s paired with a good solar system, many households can get very close to $0 power bills.

15–28kWh → about 60% of the rebate
29–50kWh → about 15% of the rebate
