When she was told she couldn’t have the white roof she wanted, Scott did the research, found an option and made it happen. The same went for the fencing and other details that helped bring her coastal vision together.

Now, when people ask Janine who designed the home, she tells them:

“I did that with the builder.”

That’s how we like to build — working together, solving problems and finding a way to make the vision work.

Our Story | Part 5: How It All Began

A Class Building & Construction didn’t start with a business plan.

It started with two mates who grew up a couple of streets apart, became apprentice carpenters, and spent their weekends doing jobs together.

Eventually, there was enough work to take the leap and back themselves.

That was 22 years ago.

We’re still building together, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

A successful build doesn’t start with the first slab. It starts with a good plan.

One thing Scott and Rob at A Class Building & Construction have learnt over the years is that the best projects happen when the builder, architect and client are all talking from day one.

That way, the design matches the budget, expectations are clear, and there are fewer surprises along the way.

From there, it’s all about good communication, trusted trades, and being there when clients need you.

Our Story | Part 3: Why We Work

People often ask Scott and Rob A Class Building & Construction what the secret is to working together for so many years.

Truth is, there’s no secret.

They’ve found what they’re each good at, they trust each other to do it, and they talk. A lot.

Rob looks more after the building side, and Scott keeps more of the business running behind the scenes. They knew each other from high school in Wollongong. It’s a partnership that’s grown over the years and it just works.

A bit like a good marriage, really!
