About the role
We're looking for a software engineer who can own features end to end and raise the quality of everything around them. You'll work with senior engineers and designers on real products, taking work from idea to production, making sound technical decisions, and helping the team ship reliably.
What you'll do
-Design, build, and maintain web applications with modern JavaScript / TypeScript, React/Next.js, and Node.js.
-Own features from technical design through delivery, deployment, and follow-up.
-Write clean, modular, well-tested code that the next engineer can pick up without friction.
-Design and build RESTful APIs and database schemas that scale with the product.
-Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the stack, including production problems.
-Review code thoughtfully and give constructive feedback.
-Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.
-Contribute to technical decisions, architecture discussions, and improvements to our tooling and processes.
-Evaluate and adopt new tools and patterns as our products grow.
What we're looking for
-Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
-Solid, hands-on experience with React or Next.js and Node.js / Express.
-Experience designing and querying databases, SQL (PostgreSQL) or NoSQL, including schema design and basic performance tuning.
-Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
-Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (branching, pull requests, code review).
-Experience writing automated tests (Jest, Mocha, or similar).
-Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, and the ability to break down ambiguous problems.
-Clear communication, teamwork, and a sense of ownership.
-Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Docker and deployment practices.
-Experience with performance optimization, security best practices, or system design.
-Experience mentoring or leading small pieces of work.
