Happy 6th anniversary with ACS to Site Superintendent Kamil Franek!

Kamil keeps our projects running smoothly from the ground up.

Kamil joined ACS as a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter and quickly proved himself a leader, earning a promotion to Site Superintendent.

With over 20 years of construction experience, he now oversees site staffing, scheduling, quality control, safety, and subcontractor coordination, bringing a steady hand and sharp eye to every job site.

Kamil’s certifications in Supervisory & Management (CCA), Leadership in Safety, and AMHSA reflect his commitment to excellence and safety on every project.

Outside of work, you’ll find Kamil enjoying family time with his two boys and staying active with whitewater kayaking, hockey, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing.

Project update: Canalta Hotels Employee Housing in Banff

After a productive summer on this 15,521 sq. ft., 19-unit, 39-bedroom apartment complex, our team is now focused on winterizing and securing the site.

Located at 448 Cougar Street, the two new buildings will also include 25 vertical bike storage units. A key complexity of this project is coordinating new construction within the tight confines of the existing 1947 heritage apartment building, Enterprise Apartments.

Current progress:

🛠️ Framing is substantially complete
🛠️ Roofing and window installation are ongoing and nearing completion
🛠️ Steel deck structure is being installed
🛠️ Mechanical and electrical rough-ins are underway
🛠️ Exterior cladding is scheduled to commence, followed by interior drywall

This development underscores our ongoing commitment to addressing local housing needs while respecting the unique character of one of Canada’s most iconic mountain towns. Substantial completion is expected next spring.
