We had a few different goals for this project, including sanding birch stair treads while leaving the softwood risers as-is for contrast. For the hallway, we carefully blended the sanding at the doorways so we didn't have to disturb the surrounding rooms, exactly as the customer requested. 🤝

Downstairs, the white oak was showing some wear in its old finish. We leveled it up by applying four coats of DuraSeal oil-based finish in a matte sheen for a durable, classic look. 🏡

To make it work, the log that used to be the wall had to be carefully ground down so the new floor could sit perfectly level. A tricky job with a great result! 🛠️
