This is one of those projects where the story behind the court is just as special as the finished result.

Completed for the City of Mississauga at Elmcreek Park in Malton, this basketball court features original artwork by Sloan Brown (sloan), developed following community engagement, conversations, and input from local residents. The finished mural celebrates the power of migration and reflects the energy, diversity, and pride of the Malton community.

Bringing artwork like this from concept to court requires a unique process of its own. Working alongside the artist and the City, the original design was adapted to work within regulation basketball markings, custom coating colours were developed, and every element was carefully mapped and stencilled before installation to ensure the finished court stayed true to the artist’s vision.

From the planning behind the scenes to the final installation, we’re incredibly proud to have played a part in bringing this one to life. 🏀🎨

The new Health and Active Living Plaza is East Gwillimbury’s largest park and newest community gathering space, bringing eight acres of new recreation and amenities to the community.

As part of this major development, we had the opportunity to complete the sport surfacing for four dedicated outdoor pickleball courts and the outdoor basketball court, creating new spaces for residents to play and stay active.

The community is invited to officially celebrate the opening on September 1st from 3–9 PM, with family-friendly activities, entertainment, program trials, an outdoor movie, vendor market, concert, and more.

Great working alongside Melfer Construction Inc. to help bring another exciting recreation project to life. 🤝

A look at one of our recent municipal projects in City of Peterborough.

As part of the redevelopment of Knights of Columbus Park in Peterborough with CSL Group, our team surfaced four tennis courts using the Laykold acrylic coating system, finished in Light Blue and Medium Green.

We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to a project that will provide residents with quality recreational spaces for years to come.

A legacy project built for the community 🏓

We’re proud to have helped bring the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 154 Pickleball Courts at McKinnon Park in Haldimand County to life alongside SDG Landscape Architects.

Designed as a lasting recreational space for residents, this new facility features four dedicated pickleball courts, a practice pad, court lighting, windscreens, seating amenities, bike racks, and accessible pathways, creating a welcoming destination for players of all ages and skill levels.

From the first serve to recreational and competitive play, this facility was built to give the community a place to enjoy pickleball for decades to come.

A community that continues to invest in recreation 🎾

What began as three tennis courts has evolved into a destination for both tennis and pickleball, reflecting the growing demand for racquet sports and the importance of creating spaces where people can stay active and connected.

We’re proud to have been part of multiple phases of recreation for the Town of Tillsonburg , helping transform this outdoor facility into what it is today.

From restoring existing courts to constructing new dedicated pickleball courts, it’s rewarding to see this facility continue to grow alongside the community.
