At Spark Power, we believe strong teams are built on respect, inclusion, and belonging.

During Pride Month, we recognize the importance of creating workplaces where people feel safe, valued, and supported for who they are.

Inclusion is more than a value. It strengthens collaboration, builds trust, and helps create safer, higher-performing teams across our organization and in the field.

This month, and every month, we remain committed to fostering a workplace where every team member feels respected, included, and empowered to do their best work.

Zero Compromises. Zero Short-Cuts. Zero Excuses.

That's the promise our teams operate by every shift, on every site, across North America. Health and safety isn't a value we point to. It's the standard that decides how the work gets done everyday.

Our technicians, electricians, and field crews work in environments where shortcuts have consequences. So we built a zero-tolerance safety culture, where stopping the job, speaking up, and looking out for the crew next to you is the expectation, not the exception.

The real proof isn't in our policies. It's in the crew member who pauses when something feels off. The supervisor who runs the toolbox talk before the first task. The teammate who watches your back so you go home the way you came in.

To every Spark Power team member in the field, in the shop, and on the road: thank you for protecting yourselves, each other, and the customers who count on us.

What does a zero-tolerance safety culture look like on your team?

At the end of June, Spark Power CEO Steve Sousa will be joining the True Patriot Love Foundation Mount Waddington Expedition, a demanding climb of British Columbia's highest peak in support of Canada's military community.

The mountain is an incredible challenge, but the purpose behind it matters even more.
The expedition supports the True Patriot Love Foundation and helps fund programs focused on mental health, recovery, rehabilitation, and transition support for Canadian Veterans, active service members, and their families.

It's inspiring to see leaders use personal challenges like this to help bring attention and support to important causes that impact so many people across the country.

We'll be checking in with Steve and sharing updates and photos throughout the expedition, so stay tuned.

If this cause speaks to you, you can learn more or support the fundraiser here: https://truepatriotlove.akaraisin.com/ui/mountwaddington/p/ssousa

Wishing the team strength and safety for the climb ahead.

Spark Power was proud to participate in the ALFDC Day in the Trades / Career Fair.

The event brought together students, job seekers, community members, employers, and skilled trades representatives for a day focused on career exploration, hands-on learning, and meaningful connection.

Our team appreciated the opportunity to speak with attendees about careers in the electrical and power services industry, the value of skilled trades, and the important role tradespeople play in building and maintaining the infrastructure our communities rely on every day.

Thank you to the Aboriginal Labour Force Development Circle for hosting this important event and for continuing to support employment, training, and workforce development opportunities for Indigenous communities across Ontario.

We were grateful to be part of the day and to connect with so many future tradespeople.

Spark Power is proud to sponsor the TransAlta Alberta Thermal & Partners Charity Golf Tournament in Stony Plain, AB, with proceeds supporting United Way.

Events like this are a reminder that strong communities are built when industry partners come together for a shared cause. We value the opportunity to stand alongside TransAlta and the broader Alberta energy community, not just as service partners, but as contributors to the causes that strengthen the regions where we live and work.

Looking forward to a great day on the course for an even better reason.
