Let’s make student thinking visible again.

A polished solution can hide a lot: the false starts, the ideas a student tested, where they got stuck, what they actually understood, and how they used tools like AI along the way.

With Maple Classroom, instructors can assign interactive Maple activities and see how students are working through the mathematics as it happens.

In the age of AI, that visibility matters more than ever.

Heading to the 28th International Workshop on Computer Algebra in Scientific Computing (CASC 2026) at the University of Bath this week? We are!

Kendal Bahadirgil from our UK team will be at the Maplesoft booth, and on Tuesday, Dr. Jürgen Gerhard, Maplesoft’s Senior Director of Research, will present What’s New in Maple 2026.

Jürgen is not only a great speaker, but also one of the most knowledgeable voices on Maple. It’s a valuable opportunity to see Maple in action and hear from someone who knows the technology inside and out.

We hope to see you there.

Let’s bring visibility back to student learning.

Students can submit polished solutions. But that doesn’t always show you how they got there, what they tried, or where they struggled.

With Maple Classroom, instructors can assign interactive Maple activities and see how students are actually working through the mathematics.

Because in the age of AI, the process matters more than ever.

Now available as a Technology Preview in Maple 2026.

A few snapshots from last week at AMMCS-2026 at Wilfrid Laurier University.

We loved spending time with this community working across applied math, modeling and computational science – and getting to talk about Maple on such a grand stage. Our spot in Lazaridis Hall even came with some sunshine, which made for a pretty nice backdrop. ☀️

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by and to the organizers for inviting us along. It was great to be there!

It's two weeks since , and we’re still smiling 😊

So many great memories! We’ve put together a quick showreel capturing some of our favourites - you might even spot yourself 👀

And if you missed Mathy this time, keep an eye out… they're always around somewhere 💙

Thanks to the Mathematical Association of America and everyone that stopped by - we're sure to see you again soon!

Students show up every semester with different gaps in what they actually know. That’s not new.

What’s new is that AI is making some of the usual ways instructors spot those gaps less reliable. If a student can generate a worked solution in seconds, “they got the right answer” doesn’t necessarily tell you what they understand.

We’ve talked to math educators from around the world at conferences and events this summer, and this challenge has come up again and again: it’s getting harder to distinguish between a correct answer and genuine understanding.

That matters when you’re trying to identify gaps early, before they become bigger problems later in the course.

Our whitepaper looks at how AI is changing math assessment, and what instructors can do to get a clearer picture of where their students stand.

What’s it like to demo math software to a room full of people who really know their stuff?

For our co-op students, participating in our reception for the International Congress on Mathematical Software last month was a chance to find out.

They spent the evening showing Maple 2026 to researchers, professors, students, and developers from around the world – and fielding tough questions that kept them on their toes!

Nikita Mokhov, one of our co-ops, has written about the experience on MaplePrimes, from putting the Document Import feature to the test on a guest’s German-language research paper to showing how Maple’s AI Assistant can turn an abstract calculus problem into an interactive visualization.

But the demos were only part of the experience. As Nikita puts it, “It’s not every day that I get to spend time chatting with the people actually shaping the field I’m studying.”

It’s our final day at ! 💙

Mathy’s already squeezed in backgammon, puppies, plenty of new friends, and even had their caricature drawn. They waited very patiently for that last one, and we loved how nobody seemed to find standing in line next to a giant Maple leaf remotely unusual. Just another day at MathFest. 😄

There’s still time to:
🧩 Try some 3D math
🧠 Meet our Maple experts
🎡 Spin the prize wheel
📸 Grab that final photo & a Mathy keepsake
⏰ Grand prize draw at 1:00 p.m. today

Come see us before MathFest wraps up!

Important update:

After careful research, we can confirm that mathscots and puppies are, in fact, an excellent combination. 🐶💙

One of today's many highlights was seeing Mathy make a new four-legged friend.

Huge thanks to the wonderful team at Sweet Paws Rescue for making our day a little cuter!
