340,000. That's the number we've been thinking about this week.

Why? Because more than 340,000 patients have already benefited from improved diagnostic services through the Jambo Labs project by action medeor e.V..

With support from Sartorius, action medeor and local healthcare institutions have modernized six hospital laboratories in Tanzania and Zanzibar, strengthening diagnostic capacity for the long term through advanced equipment, digital solutions, quality management systems, and targeted training.

Thousands of people can now receive earlier diagnoses, faster treatment, and better healthcare outcomes.

The results speak for themselves:
✅ More than 120 healthcare professionals trained
✅ Significant increases in testing volumes and patient numbers across all six laboratories
✅ SADCAS accreditation for the Huruma Hospital laboratory, confirming compliance with ISO 15189
✅ Improved cancer diagnostics through newly established histopathology services

As a long-term partner, Sartorius supported the project through its “Donations Instead of Gifts” initiative with a donation of €60,000 in December last year.

From purchasing specialist to leading operations across multiple international sites: Muhamed Karalic's career at Sartorius shows how curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to take on risks and new challenges can open unexpected opportunities.

After starting in purchasing, he moved into international project work before taking on leadership responsibility in operations. Today, he oversees a team of around 1,800 people across Europe and the U.S.

Onboarding-Tag bei Sartorius: Neue Gesichter, neue Perspektiven, neue Ideen 👋

Zum Start in den neuen Monat durften wir nicht nur den neuen Azubi-Jahrgang, sondern auch 22 neue Mitarbeitende zum Onboarding-Tag auf dem Sartorius Campus in Göttingen begrüßen. 🏢📍

Auf dem Programm: ein Überblick über das Unternehmen, Einblicke in wichtige IT- und HR-Prozesse, Gespräche mit dem Betriebsrat und eine Tour über den Campus. Dazu gab es jede Menge Gelegenheit, sich untereinander kennenzulernen.

Mit vielen neuen Eindrücken, ersten Kontakten und einem besseren Gefühl dafür, wie Sartorius tickt, geht es jetzt in die Teams. Dort bringen unsere neuen Kolleginnen und Kollegen künftig ihr Know-how, ihre Perspektiven und ihre Ideen ein, um medizinischen Fortschritt einfacher zu machen. 🚀

Auf geht‘s: Heute beginnt für 79 neue Azubis, dual Studierende und FOS-Praktikantinnen und -Praktikanten ein neuer Lebensabschnitt bei Sartorius. Herzlich Willkommen – schön, dass ihr da seid. 💛

📅 Die erste Woche steht für unsere „Neuen“ ganz im Zeichen der Orientierung. Auf dem Programm: Campus-Rallye, Azubi-Knigge, IT-Trainings oder ein Spiele-Wettbewerb.

Das sind unsere künftigen Fachkräfte auf einen Blick:

Der neue Jahrgang ist so vielfältig wie selten zuvor. Neben der breiten Altersspanne, wird auch das Geschlechterverhältnis ausgeglichener: Zum zweiten Mal in Folge starten in den Laborberufen mehr Frauen als Männer, und in einzelnen technischen Berufen fangen ausschließlich oder erstmals Frauen an – zum Beispiel bei den Kunststoff- und Kautschuktechnologinnen. 👩‍🔬👩‍🔧

Financial results for the first half of 2026: Sartorius maintains positive momentum and continues to grow profitably

💬 CEO Dr. Michael Grosse said: "We are encouraged by the dynamics we have seen during the first half of 2026: Our operational business keeps moving in the right direction, as expected, with positive developments across key parts of our portfolio. Once again, the recurring business was the main growth driver across both divisions, while our business with equipment and instruments stabilized further, even returning to slight growth, and the lab division also gained further traction. Based on the ongoing positive momentum in our business as well as gradually improving end markets, we remain confident about the rest of the year and confirm our guidance for 2026."

➡️ Reported results influenced by non-operational effects of U.S. tariff refunds and corresponding compensation of surcharges to customers

Three Sartorius solutions won Red Dot Awards 2026 (Product Design): the iQue® 5, Incucyte® CX3, and the new sustainable LightPack packaging solution for pipette tips developed in Helsinki. In addition, Quintix® Pro received an iF Design Award.

These recognitions reflect our user-centered design and UX approach, which brings together user needs, technical feasibility, and brand coherence throughout the entire process. With this, we reduce complexity in scientists' everyday workflows through clear guidance, distinct interaction zones, intuitive touchpoints, and a streamlined, coherent design.
