👌 What a fantastic two days at Xeikon Innovation Days 2026 in Lier!
It was a pleasure for the GM Finishing team to be part of an event that truly showcased the innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking mindset driving the label and packaging industry.

Thomas Mortensen and Kurt Peeters presented GM's solutions and were impressed by the level of engagement throughout the event. The interest, questions, and discussions showed the opportunities and momentum we are seeing across the industry.

The theme "Print. Smarter. Together." was reflected throughout the event. From inspiring presentations and live demonstrations to conversations between customers, partners, and technology providers, Xeikon once again created a valuable platform for sharing knowledge, exploring new ideas, and discussing the future of digital print and finishing.

For us, one of the biggest takeaways was the opportunity to reconnect with existing customers, meet new faces, and exchange perspectives with so many passionate people from across the industry. These conversations are what make events like Xeikon Innovation Days so valuable.

Over the past years, GM has undergone a significant transformation. Our ambitions are high across technology, international expansion, and commercial growth. This also requires us to evolve as a company. That is why it has been essential to establish a Board of Directors that not only reflects where we are today, but also where we are heading.

With the appointment of Tina Pauck Schou, Leo Bøgebjerg, and Steen Blaafalk, GM welcomes three strong additions to the Board with extensive experience in international industry, technology, strategy, and growth.

🤝 Together with Chairman Jens Kristensen and Frederik Edward Aackermann, Partner at Dansk Ejerkapital, this creates a strong combination of competencies and experience to support the next phase of GM’s development.

“The composition of the Board clearly reflects the direction and ambitions we have for GM. We wanted to strengthen the company with leaders who can challenge us strategically while contributing valuable experience from companies that have driven international growth, transformation, and technology at a high level. This provides a strong foundation for GM’s continued development,” says Uffe Nielsen, Owner and CEO of GM.

Tina Pauck Schou, Head of Data Center Nordics at Siemens, brings a strong perspective on digitalization, energy infrastructure, sustainability transformation, and international partnerships.

Leo Bøgebjerg, CFO at Eltronic A/S, contributes extensive experience in financial management, scaling, and operations within international industrial companies.

Steen Blaafalk brings substantial expertise in strategy, governance, and international leadership following many years in executive leadership roles at Saxo Bank and Danske Bank, combined with extensive board experience across financial institutions and scaling businesses.

✨ We have deliberately assembled a Board with diverse perspectives and strong experience from companies that have driven growth, transformation, and internationalization. This will help challenge us, strengthen our strategic direction, and support the ambitions we have for the future.

From the classroom to the factory floor 🚀

At GM, we’re proud to welcome local school students into our world of engineering, production, and teamwork. Through our collaboration with schools in Rudersdal Municipality, students get hands-on experience with real tasks and discover that exciting career paths also exist outside the traditional office environment.

From designing their own labels to seeing them printed live in our demo center, the students experienced how ideas become real products and had a lot of fun along the way.

☀️ Strengthening GM UK Technical Support
We recently welcomed Dave Scott Hubbard and Mark Roberts from the GM UK Service Team to GM headquarters in Denmark for hands-on technical training on GM Finishing machines, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and support procedures.

The training was led by Alexander Helbech Blaabjerg and Peter Christiansen from GM Denmark - helping ensure strong local technical support and fast response times for customers across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

During their visit, the team worked extensively with GM finishing machines, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and service procedures, helping the GM UK team provide fast and reliable local technical support for customers across the region.

👌 It is also great to see the continued development of GM UK under the leadership of John Hopkins, strengthening GM’s local presence and long-term commitment to customers in the region.

🙏 Thank you to everyone involved during the training days in Denmark.

When hot stamping meets digital varnish, the label stops being packaging - it becomes an experience.

This Johanniter label is a great example of how contrast creates impact:
