👋 Employee Spotlight: Mark Morrice

Meet Mark, our Business Development Manager at William Nicol.

Mark’s role is all about building strong relationships, understanding our customers’ challenges and bringing together the right people, expertise and services to find practical solutions.

With William Nicol’s services spanning Transport & Storage, Industrial Services, Waste Management & Treatment and Engineering, there’s plenty to keep him busy!

🏆 Career highlight: Most Promising Newcomer Award in 2018, followed by 3rd place for Overall Sales Performance in 2019. We’ll let him off for not making 1st… this time! 😝

💬 Mark’s motto: TEAM - Together Everyone Accomplishes More. A phrase that’s followed him from previous workplaces to coaching football teams, and has now become something of a running joke.

⚽ Outside of work, Mark is all about football. After hanging up his boots, he’s swapped playing for watching and coaching, although somehow, his wife still agreed to marry him last year! 😂

And the wedding was quite the international affair, with fewer than 30 guests travelling from Romania, Hungary, Dubai and Scotland to celebrate.

We’re proud to have Mark as part of the William Nicol team and look forward to seeing what’s next! 👏

🚛 Earlier this month, our vintage trucks were out and about at the Crathes and Portlethen Galas!

It was brilliant to see so many people stopping by to have a look at the trucks, chat with the team and enjoy the events.

We also had plenty of model trucks and William Nicol trucker caps to give away, which definitely went down well!

But one of the best parts of the day was hearing the stories from so many people who stopped for a chat. We met people who had driven for William Nicol themselves, as well as those whose relatives had worked for us, and they shared some brilliant memories and trucking stories.

We came away knowing even more about William Nicol’s history than we did before, which was pretty special. It’s always great to get our vintage fleet out on the road and meet people in the local community.
