Ashleigh continues to stand out as an emerging talent within the built environment, and this latest recognition puts the spotlight firmly on the impact she is making across the industry.
Remarkably, this is now Ashleigh’s third finalist recognition at this year’s awards. Alongside Young Construction Professional of the Year, she has also been named a finalist for Young Surveyor/Commercial Manager of the Year and Young Leader in Social Value and Sustainability.
To be recognised across three distinct categories is an outstanding achievement, reflecting the breadth of Ashleigh’s work, her developing leadership and the contribution she is making both professionally and beyond her core role.

🏆 Congratulations to Damien Belle on being named a finalist for Young Construction Professional of the Year at the UK Building the Future Awards 2026!

Working as an Earthworks Site Foreman with Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV), Damien brings hands-on leadership and experience to major infrastructure delivery, currently working within the earthworks team at Water Orton North on HS2.
Beyond his work on site, Damien also uses his lived experience to support young people through mentoring, public speaking, workshops and anti-knife crime initiatives, helping encourage positive choices and alternative pathways.

Damien’s combination of hands-on construction leadership and his commitment to supporting young people makes him a standout addition to this year’s finalist line-up.
