📣 Applications now open!

We’ve designed a new Saturday Changemakers Club, launching at STEAMhouse on 28 February as part of the National Saturday Club Society & Change Programme. The Club is a FREE 16-week programme for 13–16 year olds who enjoy hands-on making and creative problem-solving.

Participants will explore tech, art and making while working on a real-world challenge focused on food surplus, set by the Birmingham City Football Club Foundation. Working from a live brief, participants will develop ideas, test concepts and create practical solutions using STEAMhouse’s maker space.

The programme brings together local artists, industry experts and university specialists from health, engineering and the arts, showing how real-world challenges are tackled through combining, technical skills with creative thinking and hands-on making.

Sessions take place every Saturday from 10:00–12:30 at STEAMhouse and run over 16 weeks. During this time, the young participants will develop new skills, have a tinker, and learn how to turn ideas into action in a fast-paced, fun environment.

The 16 weeks conclude with a showcase event at Somerset House in London, providing the perfect opportunity to celebrate and share work with others.

Applications are now open, no experience needed, places limited: Link in bio:👉https://saturday-club.org/club/birmingham-city-university-society-change/
