Let’s Talk Bag Sizes:

Kiln dried logs are usually sold in volume, rather than weight - as wet logs weigh more than dry logs.

Most kiln dried logs are sold in ‘bulk bags’. A bulk bag is not always a standard measure. Some bulk bags can be bigger/smaller than others. It’s important to be able to compare when choosing a log supplier.

At Premier Logs we work with large bulk bags 90cm x 90cm x 90cm. However, in order to deliver such a large bulk bag filled with logs we would need a wagon with a crane due to the weight and would only be able to deliver them kerbside. Instead we split the large bulk bag into 2 x tall bags. This allows the delivery to be completed in a smaller vehicle and means the driver can manoeuvre the logs using a sack truck. This sets us apart from others, as we can get where other companies can’t! Our van can fit up driveways, down back streets, we can even deliver to addresses with no vehicular access, such as walk ways.

If you order a bulk bag from Premier Logs it will arrive as 2 x tall bags and will equate to a large bulk bag worth of kiln dried logs- 90cm x 90cm 90cm.

When comparing prices please make sure you ask companies how big their bulk bags are, some may be 80cm x 80cm x 80cm or even less!

We also sell kiln dried logs in barrow bags. The barrow bags are useful if you do not have a lot of storage space or if access is very restricted. To be able to compare size/cost the barrow bags equate to: 3.5 barrow bags = 1 x bulk bag (2x tall bags).

🎉 What a fantastic weekend at Adlington Carnival! 🎉

We absolutely loved being part of this year’s parade on Saturday and seeing so many familiar faces from our local community. It was wonderful to celebrate alongside local businesses, organisations, and families who make Adlington such a special place.

A huge thank you to everyone who waved, cheered, and came out to support the carnival. Events like these remind us why we’re so proud to be a local, family run business serving our community.
