This week in the workshop:

1. Ford 7810 Tractor 🔵
Customer’s Ford 7810 is nearly finished as we’re in the final stages of the restoration.

2. Final Piece 🔧
The last remaining piece – the pick-up hitch is currently being refurbished before the Ford 7810 restoration is complete.

3. JCB 3C MKIII Restoration 🟡
Customer’s JCB 3C MKIII is coming together nicely.

5. JS130 (Sumitomo) Hard at Work 🚜
Our iconic JS130 (Sumitomo) has been putting in the hours over the last few weeks, loading around 2,500 tonnes of material for a personal project. It’s performed faultlessly. We’ll be sharing more photos soon, and we’re planning to have these machines on display at Retro next year, with one or two available for visitors to jump in and have a go. Watch this space!

6. JCB 110 Track Shovel Restoration 🛠️
This JCB 110 Track Shovel has been in the family for many years, and we’re excited to be giving it a new lease of life before it heads off to its new home - starting with new track chains and the cab being removed to be refurbished. Watch this space!

7. JCB 110 Front 6-in-1 Shovel 💛
It’s not every day you get the opportunity to restore a JCB 110 Front 6-in-1 Shovel.

8. End of the Week Update ✅
By the back end of the week, the refurbished pick-up hitch had been fitted into place, bringing the Ford 7810 one step closer to completion.

I bought this machine for myself, but decided to move it on as it’s in fantastic condition and needs to be used. Ex-water board machine with no play, and quick hitch is as new and nearly new tracks. Machine has been into retro workshop had various jobs done including new battery, new cab gas-struts, new isolator switch, new hydraulic hose etc. The machine is up for sale with a tilting bucket with new hoses and QRC fittings. Can be sold as is or complemented with a set of buckets at an extra cost, or if tilting bucket isn’t required, price can be adjusted and go with a set of buckets instead of. Price for the machine as in the pictures, £9,750 +VAT.

Slide 3 features a couple of the machines we have on display at our office. The JCB 8018, is up for sale and will be advertised tomorrow, so keep an eye out! 🚜

We’re back on socials after a bit of time off! We’ll be catching up on messages next week, so thanks for bearing with us.

This JCB 411 loading shovel is off to sunny Ireland for one of our valued regular customers. 🇮🇪

After a light refurb, full service, and a few mechanical engineering jobs, it’s working great and ready to get straight into work.

Just a little heads up to all of our followers:

Some of our admin team will be out of the office from 1st June and will be returning to the office on 15th June. During this time, replies may be a little slower than usual and there won’t be any social media posts going out either - so if we go a little quiet, don’t worry, we haven’t disappeared! 🤗

‼️ FOR SALE - JCB 3CX P8 1993 ‼️
With 8991 hours on the clock (and working).

This machine is not your normal 3CX of this age. We’ve put it through the workshop just over 12 months ago and done more work since to it. Including:

•Refurbished front axel
•New brakes
•Seals
•New king post
•Many new hoses
•Extra dig wear pads
•Mud guards fitted
•Quick hitch fitted
•Tool box
•Service
•New battery etc

The list goes on but has made a fantastic machine.

It has been working 5-7 days a week for the last 12 months by an excellent owner operator, who’s now upgraded to a more modern machine - hence the sale of this one. It’s slightly more money than your average machine, but it’s not an average machine with the amount of money spent on it. It can go to work tomorrow.

Busy times in the workshop lately, trying to survive the hot weather! ☀️

1. JCB 3C Manual come in the paint shop for a new paint job - we’ll keep you posted as it comes along.
2. Coming up for sale this week: a solid machine in fantastic mechanical condition. Been out earning its keep working 10–12 hour days. Heading into the Retro workshop for final checks before going up for sale later this week. More pictures and video coming soon.
3. Rare JCB 35CWT dumper nearly ready to reassemble - just need more hours in the day😅. Included are pictures of the engine and parts ready for the rebuild.
4. 3CX Turbo Greycab customer machine heading to the Isle of Skye. Just fitting a new king post and carrying out final checks before she leaves us.
5. Something special arrived last week and is now sitting on the Retro forecourt.
6 & 7. Three Jubilee 3CX machines coming up for sale. One is already live on the website, with another two coming soon - all in different conditions and price ranges.
8. Customer JCB 411 Loading Shovel in for mechanical work, a full service, and a bit of paint. Not quite finished yet, but we’ll share photos once it’s complete.

🚨 MF50B FOR SALE 🚨

Something of a real time warp - this machine is in fantastic, mainly original condition. I drove it around the yard myself and it instantly put a big smile on my face. I’d never driven one before, but somehow it just feels great.

A great machine to either keep as it is for shows, or use. What you see is what you get - it also seems to have some sort of quick hitch on the front shovel.
