This weeks work in Porthcawl. We damp proofed the bay window by digging out around the bay window and applying Koster Deuxan Fibrated Bitumen to below ground masonry, fitted Geo Drain membrane and back filled with clean stone. For the patio works we removed excess soil using a mini digger, filled area with a MOT sub base and stone dust and compacted with a whacker plate. We fitted a beautiful grey porcelain patio with a dark granite boarder and finished with a dark grey grout.

This weeks work by Above And Beyond Property Maintenance in Whitchurch Cardiff was a rising damp job due to a leaking soil stack and blown render.
Internally we hacked off back to brick work, installed a chemical DPC, rendered using our waterproofing and salt retardant additives and plastered using Thistle Multi Finish.
Externally we installed a bell cast bead and rendered walls we also replaced the soil stack. We also fitted a Nuair PIV unit into loft space to stop condensation.

Job completed today in Aberkenfig.
A workshop/mancave/storage outbuilding built to clients needs and specifications.
This was a huge effort from the team as there was no back entrance meaning all materials and waste had to come through the house so massive thanks to all the lads at Above & Beyond Property Maintenance. 💪 👷‍♂️

This weeks work in Ogmore Vale was a rising damp and condensation job.
We hacked off walls back to brickwork, installed a chemical DPC, rendered walls using our salt retardant and waterproofing additives and skimmed walls full height using Thistle Multi Finish.
For the condensation works we fitted a Nuair PIV unit into the loft space venting into the landing.

Rising damp to the hallway we hacked off to 1.2m, installed a chemical DPC , rendered using our salt retardant and water proofing additives. This weeks work by Above And Beyond Property Maintenance in Blackmill was a Cavity Drain Membrane job.

We installed 8mm clear membrane to walls and floor sealed with 150mm over tape, fitted 18mm moisture resistant caber floor, 2x1 treated frame work, 50mm insulation , 9 mm osb3 and finished using white cladding. We also installed a new light, switch and double socket.

From what was a dark damp space is now a usable light dry space ready to use.

Dry rot job in Neath finally finished 😅🥳
This job started as a simple dry rot job but quickly snowballed into a whole rip out after exposing the extent of the Dry Rot attack.
We removed all infected timbers, hacked off walls, mass irrigated and treated with our masonry biocide.
We replaced all timber with treated timbers and pasted all timbers in contact with masonry.
We also treated all walls for rising damp by installing a chemical DPC, cementitious tanking to high ground level walls, rendered using our salt retardant and waterproofing additives. All of the refurbishment was carried out to the clients specifications. This weeks work in Neath was a condensation job. The clients home was suffering from condensation and black mould. We installed ISO Therm to the affected walls and plastered using Thistle Multi Finish we also fitted a Nuair PIV into the loft space filling the property with clean filtered air.
