We spoke with Sam about psychology and personal development before Keenan introduced us to the Box Champions programme and put us through our paces.

It was insightful to see what the money raised through our charity golf day can help fund for young people in Bristol, supporting them to make positive changes in their lives.

Kingswood High Street Regeneration | Project Update

Working alongside South Gloucestershire Council and London-based JK Architects, our Mobius Projects team is delivering across the wider Kingswood High Street regeneration scheme.

Beyond the broader shopfront upgrades and commercial façade works underway, we’ve just wrapped up the first three street murals, with the fourth and final piece kicking off next week. They’re already making people stop, take a second look, and get talking across the high street.

Scope on this phase:
- Enabling works and surface prep on selected elevations
- Coordination and delivery of prominent public street art
- First 3 murals completed, with the final piece starting next week
- Managed delivery along a busy live high street

A great visual milestone for the town centre renewal programme, bringing some real colour and energy to the streetscape while the rest of the refurbishment works push ahead.

Refurbishment complete at Downend School

Our General Building team has delivered a comprehensive upgrade to the Science Block at Downend School in Bristol for Castle School Education Trust (CSET).

The scheme covered improvements across the science classrooms, washrooms, and wider building infrastructure:

Replacement windows and external doors
- New flooring throughout
- Upgraded toilet cubicles and sanitary facilities
- Mechanical and electrical works
- Fire safety improvements
- Refreshed internal finishes

The New Crown in Bath has a new 5kW heat pump split system, installed by Mobius’ General Building team for Punch.

The work included a wall-mounted indoor unit in the bar, a roof-mounted external condenser, associated pipework, condensate drainage, electrical connections and commissioning. The system is designed to improve temperature control and help create a comfortable environment for customers and staff.

Due to increased tender volumes, Mobius is on the lookout for an experienced Estimator to support our pre-construction team.

We’re seeing a consistent uplift in enquiries and are looking to strengthen our estimating capacity with someone who can take ownership of tenders typically ranging from £100k to £1m.

Typical project types include:
- Commercial refurbishment and fit-out
- Building repairs and remedial works
- Planned and reactive maintenance
- Education, commercial, industrial, social housing, residential and hospitality projects

The role would involve reviewing tender opportunities, understanding project scope, preparing accurate cost plans and producing well-structured tender submissions aligned with programme, compliance and delivery requirements.

Location / coverage:
Projects generally sit within a two-hour travel radius of Bristol, covering the South West and wider UK opportunities as required.

This is a regular workflow opportunity, providing additional senior estimating capacity and support alongside our in-house pre-construction function.

The opportunity would suit an Estimator who brings:
- Strong refurbishment and fit-out experience
- The ability to manage tenders from initial review through to submission
- Excellent scope interpretation and cost-planning skills
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail

We’re delighted to share some exciting team news! 🎉

Our Operations Graduate, James Lee, has taken the next step in his professional development after enrolling on the Level 6 Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship – Project Management Pathway, which includes an MSc in Construction Management.

The programme combines full-time employment with postgraduate study, giving James the opportunity to develop his academic knowledge while gaining valuable hands-on experience across live refurbishment and fit-out projects.

£6,200+ raised to support young people through boxing and mentorship.

A few months ago, we held our Mobius charity golf day — and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event.

Together, we raised in excess of £6,200 for Empire Fighting Chance. This funding could support up to 15 young people through the charity’s flagship Box Champions 12-week one-to-one programme.

Combining psychologically informed mentorship with non-contact boxing, the programme helps young people affected by inequality to build:

Resilience
Confidence
Motivation
Improved mental health
Positive pathways into education and employment

We’re proud to support an organisation working to help young people re-engage with school, access employment opportunities and realise their potential.
