8 week in on this beautiful project . We’re now onto the final stages to completion.
So far we have
- Completely stripped the additional building back to bare bones .
- knocked some none load bearing walls out
- Added an additional lean too roof to match it to existing building .
-Re- roofed all tiled areas ( new on back , existing on front )
- Vapour barrier , batten and plaster-boarded all walls and over boarded ceiling keeping listed building heritage by following existing character.
- Complete new rewire and new heating system .
- Bathroom tiling , boot room floor tiles .
- Plastering ( leaving the window walls )
- 2 doorways knocked through to join buildings .
- Levelled all floors throughout.
- Extended the chimney 😍
- Thatch topped and smartened up and pigs filled up again 🐖 ( thatcher organised by clients )
We’re now just waiting on the new windows joinery to arrive and be fitted , which will release us to finish the projects rendering and final internals .
Like any project like this , never easy because you never know what you might uncover , but we’re enjoying this one with fabulous clients who are enjoying the process too .
