Here is something a little different from NCMT today! 🐰

We are always looking at how we can recycle responsibly and reduce waste across the business, and occasionally that leads to some rather lovely solutions.

Instead of simply recycling our shredded office paper, it is heading to a rabbit and guinea pig rescue, where it will be used as soft bedding for the animals.

So, what started life as NCMT paperwork gets a second life keeping some little residents warm and comfortable before eventually being recycled. We think that is a pretty good use for it!

The Makino G5 with Pro6 control will be a central feature of Engineered for Power on 9 and 10 September.

This two-day event at our Coventry Technology Centre is focused on the manufacture of turbine blades, vanes and high-value engine components. Visitors will be able to discuss grinding, profile accuracy, surface integrity, repeatability and process stability directly with specialists from NCMT, Makino and Okuma.

The event is designed for aerospace and power-generation manufacturers, engineers and technical buyers.

Thin, heavy or irregular components can benefit from a vertical turning process.

There is a little more involved in getting the perfect machine shot than simply pointing the camera – but the G5 is now camera-ready and the photographer is getting to work.
