Another day exploring Norway’s coastline with twin AX300 Diesels, and our BD Manager is getting comfortable at the controls.

Marine diesel available at every marina on the day’s route made refuelling straightforward, while the joystick made manoeuvring into the next stop feel just as easy.

What do our AX300 Diesel outboard Test & Development team in Lowestoft actually do?

Quite a bit more than take boats out for a spin... 🚤

From the 500-hour Cummins durability test to replicating warranty cycles, they put the AX300 Diesel through its paces, analyse the results and feed findings back to engineering.

They carry out design verification tests, trial improvements and take prospective operators and partners out to experience the engine for themselves.

And occasionally, they stand still long enough for marketing to get a photo..! 📸

Starting in Bodø, our Business Development Manager joined one of our Norwegian field trial partners for a trip through Lofoten and up to Harstad, before heading south to finish in Trondheim.

The aim? To experience the AX300 Diesel at work, hear feedback first-hand and understand the varied conditions operators face.
