Another recently completed project for a smashing local family✨
This one involved a single-storey rear extension to create a spacious dining and entertaining area, along with a side extension to form an en-suite to the main bedroom, built over the existing utility room.

Special attention was given to replicating the intricate brickwork detailing of the main house, complemented by reclaimed roof tiles to the hipped en-suite roof. The design was further challenged by a large existing chimney, while open pitched ceilings enhance the sense of space and light.

Loved working on this project - something a little different! A smart purpose built stable block for two 4-legged friends😊 with separate feed & tack room. Plans drawn and full planning permission secured (conservation area)
Built with the same principles as a high-quality extension, with added considerations for equine welfare: excellent ventilation, a self-draining non-slip concrete floor, bespoke stable doors, and a secure dividing wall with a visibility screen.

If you’re thinking about an extension in 2026 or wanting plans drawn and the planning permission managed, get in touch - the order book is filling fast!

Well that’s another year nearly over - it’s been a busy year and pretty full order book for 2025 so plenty to keep us busy!

I’d like to say a few big thankyou’s….,

Firstly to my wife for the emotional support, helping with the paperwork and putting up with me in general ❤️
To Alex (eldest son) for helping out at weekends and maintaining the van!
To Joe (youngest son) who worked part time for me this year whilst doing his electrical qualification at college and realising not all the jobs are glamorous such as the hours and hours and days and days cleaning bricks!
And last but certainly not least, to my customers past and present for giving me the opportunity to work on their homes , it’s much appreciated 😊

As a thank you, I organised the works Christmas bash in London, bit of Christmas shopping, sight seeing and Aladdin at Hammersmith Theatre.

🎄Wishing everyone all the best for a very Merry Christmas!🎄

A frequently asked question when I’m looking at a new project for someone is ‘how deep will my foundation have to be?’ People are usually surprised when I say about 900mm!

It all depends on the ground conditions, buried structures like wells and proximity of trees and is one a the biggest unknowns when you start a new job

However this one was a tad deeper at nearly 2.3m!! 🙈

Well that’s the first year of business under our belt and we can’t believe a year has passed already! 2021 has been a bit of a rollercoaster overall 😬 On a business level it’s been really successful, met some great customers and completed a variety of interesting projects. On a personal level, it’s been a pretty rough and emotional year but we must say a massive thank you to all of our customers for the patience and understanding they have shown during those times- it really is appreciated 👍

The order book for 2022 is looking healthy, with a number of projects already confirmed - so that’s us busy until the middle of the year. If you’re thinking about an extension then don’t delay and get the ball rolling by giving me a call.

Happy New Year and all the best for 2022!

As most of you will know but for those that don’t, back in 2019 over a glass or two of red, me & my best mate Andy decided to complete the 54mile Glasgow to Edinburgh canoe challenge in our kayaks to raise funds for the fantastic work that Macmillan do. That should have been In May 2020 and we started training on the Chesterfield Canal in January 2020. Unfortunately,
COVID has thwarted our plans on three occasions but we are determined to complete the challenge and have rebooked Scotland for spring bank week 🤞- completing the challenge over 2 days - starting in Glasgow on the 31st May travelling to Falkirk, over night stay in Falkirk then finishing the following day 1st June in Edinburgh
So far we’ve raised £1600 for this worthwhile cause and a massive thank you to everyone who’s donated - it really is very much appreciated.
We’d like to break the £2000 mark and there is still time to donate for anyone who wants to - just click on the image below to go to our just giving page

Cheers Paul

After 35 years in the construction industry working on site and office based for a main contractor, I've decided to take the plunge and set up my own construction business carrying out extensions, general building work, wall & floor tiling, hard landscaping and anything else construction related.
I can offer the full construction package, turning your ideas and dreams into reality - on paper first, in the form of detailed drawings and specification, followed by a detailed quotation, through to a high quality completed project.

Build it your way - I am happy if you want to have the drawing service alone, to do part of the work & come back at a later date to finish off, choose to do sections of the work yourself or leave it all to me & my team - however you want to deliver your project I can accommodate.

Give me a call, email or message for a free no obligation chat about your project.
