This client wanted something very specific — beautifully crafted outdoor showers and a private sauna, designed to feel completely at home within the property.

So we built it.

Because when the brief is personal, the answer shouldn’t be “we don’t normally do that.”

It should be:

It looked good on the plan, but doesn’t work how we live.

I’ve spent years with our team of craftsmen fixing homes that were built for a drawing board rather than a busy Monday morning.

To get an extension that actually looks after you, stop looking at the floor plan and start looking at your 6pm lap of the downstairs.

Take a pencil to your current drawing and trace your path from the front door with three bags of shopping and a wet coat.

If that line hits a tight corner by the loo or forces you to side-step just to reach the kitchen, the layout is wrong.

Reposition the utility entrance so it sits exactly two paces from where you drop your keys, not at the far end of the house.

Give the hallway an extra 60cm of width it’s is much cheaper to move a wall on paper than it is to live with a house that trips you up every single day.
