Our pick of the patch? The one that came out of the mould. 🎃

While pumpkins needed a bit of carving, this orange moulded sponge got its shape straight from the mould.

Moulded sponge can be made into a huge range of bespoke shapes and sizes for sealing, cushioning, insulation and protection. So, when you need a component to fit a specific shape or application, the mould can be made to suit.

How do you know a rubber component is up to scratch? You test it. 🔎

Our inspection team has a whole range of equipment to put both materials and finished parts through their paces, from hardness and compression set testing to dimensional checks and electrical testing.

It means we can spot issues, verify results and make sure components meet the required specification throughout production.

Have a sealing application with a larger gap or very little compression available? 👀

That can make achieving a reliable seal with solid rubber difficult.

Moulded sponge is designed to compress and deform more easily, helping it accommodate larger tolerances and create an effective seal without requiring the same force.

It’s why you’ll find sponge rubber used in applications such as automotive door seals, plastic closures and large pipe seals.
