Meet Travis 👋

Travis joined the Ratio Renovations team a few months ago as our new apprentice — and we’re keeping this one firmly in the family!

He’s Adam’s son and Vince’s grandson, so you could say renovations are in the blood. 🔨

Next month, Travis will also be starting college at Tameside, studying Fitted Interiors alongside gaining hands-on experience with the team.

We’re so happy to have him on board and looking forward to seeing him learn, develop and become part of the next generation at Ratio Renovations.

🏡 NEW PROJECT | SHIREBROOK, GLOSSOP

Another local transformation is underway for the Ratio Renovations team!

This one is going to see a big change to the layout of the home…

The existing garage will be transformed into a brand-new kitchen, creating an open-plan kitchen and dining space downstairs.

Upstairs, the current kitchen will be completely repurposed to create an additional bedroom.

Adam gives us a walkthrough before work gets underway - and we’ll be bringing you along as the transformation takes shape.

Another update from our Timperley project 👏

Both bathrooms were completed by the Ratio team last week and are now ready for the painters and decorators to work their magic.

The brushed brass details, freestanding bath, walk-in shower and tiling have really brought these spaces together — we can’t wait to see them completely finished.

We’ll be heading back once the decorating is done to show you the full reveal 👀

Remember that BIG Timperley renovation we’ve been working on? 👀

Here’s a little bathroom progress update… and it’s really starting to come together.

Large format tiling, walk-in shower with statement brushed brass fittings, freestanding bath and a gorgeous vanity — the transformation from where this one started is going to be something else. 👌

Still a few finishing touches to go, but we couldn’t wait to share this stage.

The cheapest quote isn’t always the cheapest job. 🔨

When you’re comparing quotes for work on your home, don’t just look at the number at the bottom - take a look at what you’re actually getting for it.

Does it include the materials? Preparation? Waste removal? Finishing? And is the timescale realistic?

A quote that looks like a bargain can soon become a lot more expensive if half the job turns out to be an “extra”.

Our tip? Compare like for like, ask questions and make sure you know exactly what’s included before you say yes. 👍
