Your biomass boiler doesn't have to fail completely to have a problem.

Sometimes the biggest frustrations come from the issues that appear, disappear, and leave everyone scratching their heads.

That's what happened at LRF, where hot water temperatures in the manor house kept dropping with no obvious explanation.

Fortunately, IDRIS doesn't rely on snapshots or assumptions. By analysing a month's worth of operational data, it identified exactly what was causing the issue and where improvements were needed.

Here's a great example of why quality matters.

Our installer network partner, Neil Palmer of Border Eco Systems, completed the installation of an ETA eHack 200kW wood chip boiler at a property in southern Edinburgh, replacing a biomass boiler that had been causing ongoing reliability issues.

When Neil returned to check the system, he was met with glowing feedback from the customer, who was delighted with the boiler's performance. In fact, the results had already caught the attention of a neighbour, who was keen to find out more about installing an ETA system of their own.

A fantastic project from Neil and another example of how reliable woodchip heating can deliver long-term confidence for off-grid properties.

Still running an ETA boiler with a 4-line display controller?

Around 1,000 of these systems are still operating across the UK and Ireland, continuing to provide reliable biomass heating years after installation.

However, as these boilers age, replacement parts are becoming harder to source and they lack the remote access and connectivity features that are now standard with newer ETA technology.

The good news? ETA has developed a conversion kit that upgrades compatible boilers to the latest control technology, giving owners access to improved functionality, easier diagnostics and remote monitoring, helping to future-proof their investment for years to come.

We're always proud to showcase the brilliant work being delivered by our installer network, and this recent project from Energien is no exception.

These six 100kW ETA Biomass boilers were installed into brand-new plant rooms as part of a single package for one client. With several installations completed off-site by Energien's in-house teams, the project benefited from smooth, efficient changeovers and expert delivery throughout.

The systems now provide dependable heat and hot water to a variety of sites, including wedding venues, leisure facilities and a golf complex.

We're delighted to be supporting Gibson & Goold on this exciting renewable heating project at a historic Scottish castle.

After two years of planning, design and collaboration, the project is taking shape, with an underground heat network, advanced BMS controls and a high-performance ETA eHack wood chip boiler at its heart.

A big thank you to Jim Faulds and the Gibson & Goold team for the shout-out and for their expertise in delivering this impressive installation. We look forward to sharing more progress soon.
