Everyone at OLG would like to extend their very best wishes to Philip Sleight, who will be retiring this Friday after almost six years with the business. Philip joined OLG on 5th October 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 restrictions and has since become a highly valued member of the OLG family. As a Design Draughtsman, he has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team throughout his time with the company.
Reflecting on his career, Philip said:
“I originally came from a Mechanical Design Engineering role. Happily, this role has continued throughout my journey with OLG.”
As he prepares to begin a well-earned retirement, Philip already has plenty to keep him occupied.
“My wife has a full list of jobs for me to do when I retire. After that… well, I will tackle just about anything!”
Looking back on his time at OLG, it is the people he has worked alongside that he will miss the most.
“I think we’ve a bunch of great people at OLG. My thanks go out to everyone I have worked with over the years. I will miss the daily interaction, their humour and their camaraderie. My thanks to all of them.”
Phillip has been a fantastic colleague and friend to many across the business, and we are grateful for his contribution, dedication and support over the years.
